Rishi Panchami - Celebrating the Divine Patriachs of the Creation

Bhadrapada Shuddha Panchami is known as Rishi Panchami. On that day, the elders say to remember even once the greatest of sages Atri, Kashyapa, Bhardwaj, Gautama, Vashishta, Vishwamitra Maharshu.
Atri Maharshi was the one who gave refuge to Sitaramas in the exile. Atri showed the way to Dandakaranya after showering his hospitality on shree Rama. As suggested by sage Sita ma learnt the innermost secrets of Pativarata Dharma from Anasuya mata.
Bhardwaj Maharshi was the one who led the Sitarams to Chitrakoota.
Maharishi Gautama, who bestowed his tapasya fruits on Rama through his wife Ahilya. Rishi Vishwamitra was the Guru of Shree Rama and Vashista the kula guru of Iksvaku clan.
Rishi Jamadagni was the father of sakshath Shree Hari avtar Parshuram. Rishi Kashyap was the father of Vamana avtar of Shree Hari. There are many more episodes to recollect. On this auspicious day people read RAMAYANA atleast partly if not completely.
Women must observe the Rishipanchami fast. The immediate Panchami after vinayaka chaturthi is called "Rishipanchami". The Sapta Rishis rise in the east today. This is day to practice Brahmagnyana. The rays of the Saptarishis radiate on the seekers today.
one should get up and meditate on the Brahmi Muhurta. The Saptarishis are the originators of the Gayatri Mantra. There are seven yoga chakras in the human body, and it is these Saptarishis who develop them.
Rishi panchami commemorate the first sanatani who visited the Veda Mantras for the first time & practiced the Vedic religion. If we fast on that day, early teachers will be very happy & will fulfill our desires.
Women in particular are blessed with longevity and health for generations if they fast completely throughout the day. Complete fasting means having bhakti samarpan. People who can't stay without food atleast should eat some food for survival.
This fast is observed by daughter in law and mother in law. If the older do not have the energy, the DIL should fast. Good results are seen for offspring or those suffering from snakebite or issues of fertility and suffering from childlessness or nirvamsha.
Rishiruna is also one of the five must-meet of man. Because we have been taught the virtues, traditions and customs that we have to follow. Is it not our duty to remember them with devotion and worship them with gratitude for doing us such a great service?
Do we see Sapta Rishis these days? Strictly speaking they are visible to everyone, visible every day if seen with devotion. In other words, every couple should bow down to the Sapta Rishis and Arundhati Vashishts in the evening.
We are currently in the 7th manvantara called VAIVASVATA Manvantara and the Rishis for creation are Kashyapa, Atri, Bhardwaj, Vishwamitra, Gautama, Vashisht and Jamadagni. Let us not forget the great works of these Rishis. Let's Bow down each & every day until our last breath🙏🏼
