Hey so I hope that this is anonymous but basically heres a story about how my mum and dad met. So back in the olden days [kidding, this was 21 years ago or so]

This guy, lets call him S, was working with his father and had to deliver some stuff to my mum's brother. So he came to the house to leave the parcel and boom, he saw my mother sitting there in the dining room, in all her glory wearing pjs and her hair in a messy bun
He thought he had found the one. And since my uncle [mums brother] was a regular customer of his, he kept coming to the house to 'deliver' the parcels

Eventually he manned up and decided to ask her for her number [now I'm not sure if it was the housephone at that time or if she had a cell but anyway, back to the story]

My mum didn't exactly feel the same way about him but she decided you know what its fine we can be friends and see what happens

So he called and came to deliver the parcels as usual but these times bringing flowers, chocolates and new gifts each time. However my mum still didnt feel that way towards him and he knew that they were just friends but he hoped for more
So one day, S was with his cousins, boys night I guess. And they decided, lets prank call S's crush. So they took the phone and X called, since my mum didnt know X's voice [obvi thats how prank calls work]

X and my mum instantly hit it off.
They spoke and what was once a prank call became a full conversation

So X decided to save my mums number. A few days went by & X called my mum. They spoke for hours and hours on end but they were just call friends
At this point S was basically out of the picture coz my mum showed zero interest in him, but he didnt know that his cousin was speaking to my mum

Then one day, my mum went for umrah, it was her first trip to Saudi Arabia and for some wonderful reason, X was taking another trip that very same time. They had no idea that they'd be seeing eachother but their paths crossed and X's family met my mums
They came home, spoke more and started meeting, they dated for 2 years and then got married at the young age of 21, [yes, X is my dad] and they've been happily married ever since alhumdulillah
And as for S, obvi he eventually found out that his cousin was seeing his crush but he accepted it and now he too has found the love of his life. But yeah. Hope you enjoyed this little story
