It's no exaggeration to say almost any dubious police-involved death of a Black person becomes a national story. NINE unarmed Black people have been killed by cops this year. Every case with video and several others (Taylor, Floyd, Blake if that turns fatal) led national media.
(2) This isn't "bad," but it creates an inaccurate picture of what violence in the USA looks like. 651 people TOTAL were shot/killed by cops in 2020, w unarmed Blacks making up 1.4%. Whites outnumbered Blacks 2:1 b4 adjusting for crime: ~0 white killings were covered nationally.
(3) From a strategic perspective, centrists/conservatives might want to look at how this narrative is built. HOW do activists funnel videos up to media contacts? Could this be done with vids showing police heroism, or diverse cop shooting victims, or the OFFICERS being attacked?
