PS/ I'd add that he's goddamned right, but only because in this country we prosecute (when we're living up to our principles) career criminals—regardless of their party, their wealth, their fame, or their years and years of efforts to obstruct justice so they stay out of prison.
PS2/ As I detailed throughout the Proof series—and will detail again in Proof of Corruption when in comes out in just over a week—the things Trump Jr. did are things he knows are criminal and that he's long known he's just one step ahead of the law in trying to hide from America.

Now I can't sleep—I just feel ill. I can't unsee what I saw. For some reason there are armed civilians with AR-15-like weapons patrolling a Wisconsin city alongside or instead of cops and today it seems that that—and general chaos that has nothing to do with BLM—got a guy killed.
I'm basically angry at everyone.

Cops letting civilians do law enforcement. Armed civilians who've no business being in the middle of any of this. Rioters who have nothing to do with the protests they are co-opting. Right-wingers justifying homicide in the sickest possible ways.
I lived in Wisconsin for years. I've been in Kenosha. Wisconsin is probably my favorite state in America. The images I saw from Madison weeks ago and from Kenosha tonight are like someone putting a stick of dynamite in your birthday cake. I feel sick at heart. Sick to my stomach.

VIDEO/ This video may be disturbing, but it's important to have a picture of what's happening in Wisconsin. I want to underscore that every person is innocent until proven guilty—and we do not yet know who did what or why or when or how in this situation.
WARNING/ Again, that video is very upsetting. Do not watch it unless you are prepared to witness violence.
PS/ The problem with live video is that we can't see what happens before or after the video. We don't know who the shooter or shooters are; their motivations; or any of the ex ante/ex post context. Even the weapons used are unclear. So we need information now—not heated rhetoric.

PS/ Trump's own former national security advisor, a far-right radical Republican, says that Trump's foreign policy with (at a bare minimum) China and Turkey and Russia is based on his personal business interests in those countries. That should have been the end of his presidency.
PS2/ If there were to be one question I could ask the American media establishment, and the GOP political establishment, and the entire GOP electorate, it would be why a president taking personal bribes from foreign governments to change US policy isn't an immediate deal-breaker.
