since ayn rand is trending here's marxian economist sam bowles totally destroying milton friedman and by proxy rand, as he's one of her ideological proteges and founding fathers of neoliberal economics

bowles goes on to further expose ayn rand and milton friedman's absurd idealistic view of capitalism, then lays out his conception of an economic system that is truly in line with expanding freedom: one wherein the means of production are owned by workers

also keep in mind bowles is using the term "private property" in the non-marxist sense of personal property, probably because he's talking to a lay audience. as he says later his preferred economic model is one wherein the means of production are worker owned and controlled
