I have TWO fires to tell you about: #WalbridgeFire and #MeyersFire.

✅Total size Complex (3 fires) is 351,817 acres (up from 350,030)
✅25% containment total (up from 22%)

✅3 deaths (Napa Co.) 1 (Solano Co.)
✅4 civilian injuries
✅30,500 structures are threatened
✅908 have been destroyed (up from 871)
✅248 have been damaged (up from 234)

📌Starts that jump over containment lines are “highly resistive” to control due to drought ridden, dry fuels.
📌Fire activity can increase in drainages due to winds from today’s possible thunderstorms

📌Fires spreading up to 1.3 mile/hour, up to 22ft flames
📌Fire spots are jumping 1/2 mile ahead on average

Started 8/17 west of Healdsburg and north of Guerneville. The fire formally known as 13-4.

🙌Containment line in place along Lake Sonoma
Note: Containment does not mean fire is “out” just that it is held behind control lines and can be easily tampered if it jumps lines or causes problems.

👩🚒Resources (dozers, water tenders, hand crews) on 12 hour shifts were approved to work 24 hour shifts. All hands on deck.

🔥NE- Continued work to protect structures and contain fire around Brack Rd & Koch Rds
🔥E- Further spread E along Mill Creek Rd and towards Fox Canyon
🔥E- Still very active in Renevar Gulch and Palmer Creek

🔥SE-Spread in Press Valley, crossed Sweetwater Ranch Rd
🔥S- Continued work to protect structures off Mt Jackson, including on and around McPeak, Sweetwater Springs and Mt Jackson Resort Rds.

🔥S- Spread into Armstrong Woods. Crews working to keep fire out of valley and have been doing structure and tree protection.
🔥S- Spread S along Sweetwater Springs Rd towards intersection w/ Redwood Crk

🟣County share that a lot of watershed work needs to be done. Ash & fire debris in streams.
