The Alt-Left draws mainly from the Cult of Rationality and the Alt-Right mainly from the Cult of Superstition. Both are tried and true brands of cult within Western Civilization.
Antifa is the QAnon of the Alt-Left. QAnon is the Antifa of the Alt-Right. Both endorse violence as a means to an end, with Antifa opposing State Violence with Non-State Violence and QAnon opposing Non-State Violence with State Violence.
Both narratives are controlled by the De Facto Government of the USA, and will be used to simultaneously dismember the State Apparatus and reimpose a new State Apparatus that is, in truth, Martial Law.

This not all that different from opposed cults of religion, which also invariably decry violence, but depending on the source.
In a state bereft of moral principles (which I cannot imagine you disagree accurately describes the present day U.S.) you should expect cult-sourced thinking to drive the narratives + counter narratives + not partisan or otherwise democratic politics as conventionally understood.
Because the base narrative which hitherto unified the Empire in its hegemonic universalism has been shattered, the imperial citizen's now unquenched thirst for such narrative must seek satiation among so many disparate cults of narrative.
