LOVE OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD SAW ~~ SHEIKH IBRAHIM NIYASS
Thread
3. To start with, I will like to state that this is my first approach -as a literature works analyst (المحلل الأدبي)- in English Language.
Previous poem and prose analysis done by me were all in classical and flawless Arabic Language.
Forgive any grammatical errors you might find
4. We are on the verge of analysing 2 verses of a Poem in one of the (ديوان) poetical collections of Sheikh Ibrahim Niyass R.A
Named (سير القلب) Course of the Heart
In this particular stanza of poem, Sheikh trended the parts of poets where you refer to who you are eulogising like
5. he is right in front of you listening.
They call it التصور الذهنى Intellectual Assumption or الخيال Direct Imagination.

Now, the 2 verses we are taking today are:

وتيمني حبيك صرت مجمجما = على البر والأجوا أروم وصالا
Your love enchanted me that I became restless moving both
6. land and sea with the aim of getting connected (with you SAW).

As such, I left my homelands (Africa), my households and my family, without complain I travel through deep bushes and I will never complain.
7. So he started the poem saying:
جمعت وجوداً هيبة وجلالاً = وأبصرت من ذا بهجة وجمالا

You garner the prestige and solemnity of everything in existence, and from that got me Love and luster

Your handsomeness is an amusement in both
8. solemnity and Love, for you are the most perfect exemplar amongst the messengers (of Allah)

They (messengers) all obtained Nobility and greatness, but none is like the Hashimiyy leader in terms character and moral conduct
9. The stanza is in 39 verse ending with a verse in which he send Salat to the prophet SAW, his household and companions RTA.
Which reads :

10. The 2 verses entails what can be documented in volumes as a book. A skilled poetic analyst would spend the whole day trying to bring out what can be gotten from the first verse itself. But I will try to summarize.
The Love of prophet SAW was the trade of sheikh Ibrahim niyas
11. throughout his lifetime. This is contained in 99.999% of his poems if not all.
Eulogy as one of the kinds of poem in Arabic literature where one is being praised, is a field where Islamic poets mostly venture in.
And I trust one needs no inquiry to agree that sheikh was a
12. scholar of his time.
Sheikh R.A being a proficient poets found eulogy for his beloved SAW as a means of expressing what his heart has been concealing for long.
That's pure love for him SAW
It might interest you to know that, it was the sunnah of the pious predecessors
13. (As-Salafus sālih) to eulogize the prophet SAW.

Here we have one ka'ab bn Zuhair (one of the poets of SAW) saying in his famous (Al-burda):

إن الرسول لسيف يستضاء به##
مهند من رسول الله مسلول
And here we have Hussān bn Thabit saying what is described as on of the best
14. verse of a poem ever said:

وَأَحسَنُ مِنكَ لَم تَرَ قَطُّ عَيني##
وَأَجمَلُ مِنكَ لَم تَلِدِ النِساءُ
My eyes have never seen a more handsome one than you, women won't ever give birth to a child more handsome than you SAW.
15.

You were created by Allah free from all imperfections, just seems like you were created as you wished.

Many lot of them like that. So its a sunnah of the sahabas my brother
16. Now, back to our point of discussion, Sheikh R.A made his point from the very first verse of the stanza these 2 verses are found where he mentioned that the prophet is more and ahead of anything Allah has created.
This portrays his pure love for the prophet SAW.
17. And that made him to move to places restlessly without complain to extend the message the prophet SAW brought.
Sheikh travelled almost around the word to preach Al-Islām, Al-Iman and Al-Ihsān which are the 3 focal questions a questioner asked the prophet SAW
18. and they are the 3 main stages of Islam as a religion.
Among the countries sheikh was able to mention are:
Paris (France)
Belgium
Cairo (Egypt)
Beirut (Lebanon)
Karatchi (India)
Makkah (KSA)
Madinah (KSA)
Belhur (India)
Hong Kong (China)
Bangkok (China)
19. Recall that, sheikh had mentioned he left his family, households and homelands (Africa) Little wonder why he never wasted time in mentioning the African countries he visited here.
And when we ask sheikh why all the movement? He answered towards the end of the poem:
20.

I traveled through deep seas, villages and cities in short mountains I crossed.

Why sheikh ?

I hope for the acceptance (Mercy) of Allah for spreading His
21. religion, and again make a path for the new generation to trend.

You might want to know what " Path " he meant? Is it a path different from that of the prophet SAW ?

Sheikh in one of his prayers answered the above question with NO, but the path I meant:
22.

(I ask Allah) to reform the religion through me, and as well reform the sunnah of SAW that has been abandoned due to ignorance.

Its crystal clear that the "Path" meant is Al-kitāb Was sunnah.
23. Sheikh gave preference to the love of prophet SAW over his household, family and homeland in accordance to the hadith narrated from the prophet SAW that:

None of you is a true believer until I become lovely to him more than his parents, children and the whole mankind
24. One might want to know why sheikh did what he mentioned in the second verse, departing from his household, family and homeland just to show love and that as the say goes:
"When you love someone you obey and follow them"
25. One might want to know how sheikh didn't do that but did another thing entirely?

Sheikh answered in the same poem :

تمسك بأذيال النبي متابعاً = مذاهبه والمحدثات فلالا

Stick hold to the rope of the prophet SAW and be a follower of his ways and say a big NO to innovations
26.

The traditions of Prophet SAW will suffice you from the dictionary of false preachers, likewise it suffice from the likes of John who is aiming at an impossibility.

27. Napoleon, Lenin and Karl Max are not revelation receivers so forget that play and stick hold to the Book given to prophet Muhammad SAW.

Conclusion:

The following can be deduced from the analysis made:
1. Sheikh Ibrahim niyass traveled all with the aim of spreading/reforming
28. Islām, Imān and Ihsān.

2. He was a sunnah encourager and enabler

3. His love for prophet SAW knows no bound.

4. He sacrificed whatever he has for the love of prophet SAW.

That's why in another poem he said:

إذا جمعوا الأموال وأفتخروا بها = ففخري ومالي حب زين ملاء
29. When they accumulate wealth and become excited of it, my proud is and wealth is the Love of prophet SAW.

May Allah engage our hearts with the Love of the Prophet SAW.
31. This is the sheikh Ibrahim Niyas they don't want you to know. He simple fought for Islam and Strived to established sunnah of the prophet SAW
32. I tried as much as possible to forcefully omit the events, signs and wonders Allah made for him at the course of the journey simply because I don't want to make it long
33. You can read more about Sheikh and most importantly his Diwan where he dedicated 89.000% to the praise of Prophet SAW
34. Further info about the Diwan is that every poem/stanza ends with a (salat) to the prophet SAW.
35. There is never a time you read through and not feel that Love for the prophet SAW.

Don't you read love poems written by a lover boy to his lover girl ?
How do you feel while you read through ?
36. Same way you love for the prophet SAW increase as you read praises/eulogies written for the prophet SAW
37. Another thing you learn from it is the approach (Minhāj) of Sheikh Ibrahim Niyas towards Islamic understanding. You learn how he is stiff in giving warnings to his followers to deviate from anything that Allah and His Prophet has shunned against
38. I also try as much as possible as I can to not tall about word usage and how they fit in, because its also a focal point in Poem Analysis in Arabic literature. And with such a Poetic critic or analyst arrive at his verdict on a poem or against it.
39. But its of no relevance here since the approach (Mazhab) taken here is النقد التأثرى and the (Manhaj) is المنهج المتكامل فى دراسة النصوص الأدبية.

*You sin against God and claim to love him? This is the greatest surprise of time.

If your love is out of sincerity you should be obeying and following his commandments, surely, a lover listen and obeys his beloved
