One of the top reasons I am voting against Trump this November is because I don’t want to see the person the shooter at my school supported in the White House.
Not to mention the MAGA bomber who was sending fake pipe bombs to people he hated and tweeted at me over 25 times calling me a crisis actor.

So y’all telling me these MAGA people are not violent can fuck off.

I know Biden and Harris were not the first pick of many young people (myself included).

But here are the reasons why I personally am still voting.
1. We can’t wait 4 more years for a better candidate to do something about gun violence as 160,000 more people will die from guns if nothing is done by 2024.
2. If we loose any more seats in the SCOTUS our generation is really even more fucked for decades to come. No matter how left the country and president is in the future if we don’t have a SCOTUS that will support the movement it will be a major obstacle to real change.

The shooter in El Paso was a white supremacist.

One of the top predictors for where gun violence occurs the most is where communities were redlined in the 20th century.

Gun violence is a racial justice issue.
To end gun violence we can’t only talk about the gun laws we have to talk about why communities are so affected by gun violence to begin with.

Hint - it’s not because they don’t have enough police it’s because they don’t have enough resources.
In addition to gun laws we need to talk about systemic racism, poverty and militarism.

We need to talk about food deserts, affordable housing, Job training,
restorative justice and a new approach to public safety that is not rooted in slavery as our modern policing system is.
