America has been trapped in its own imagined myths for generations. Those myths are destroying us.

All the distractions in the world can't hide this and all they do is allow room and cover for people determined to use the destruction for profit and to consolidate power.

Trumpism is fascism and fascism is the weaponization of a fictional past. America is uniquely suited to be consumed by it because our history is a carefully designed weapon. We are not immune.

We're in incredible danger and cannot afford to ignore it any longer.

We don't study fascism closely because it's a reflection of America, because the Third Reich was so closely aligned to us before Pearl Harbor, because the philosophy that animated it was our philosophy.

Here we are again. Time to learn. Time to pay attention. Time to change.

Trumpists and Republicans and these people looking to profit off the destruction of America use ignorance as a weapon.

We must separate fact from fiction, understand where we came from in order to understand where we're going. We have to disabuse ourselves of these myths.
