BREAKING: The Florida Supreme Court just ruled that Governor DeSantis exceeded his authority by appointing a judge to vacancy on state's highest court because she had not been a member of Florida for at least 10 years
*Florida Bar
The Court held that "only legally appropriate and available remedy would be to require the Governor immediately to appoint a constitutionally eligible person from the JNC's existing certified list of nominees." Obviously, this did not happen.

To recuse a federal district judge like Judge Cannon in USA v. Trump, a party must demonstrate that the judge's impartiality might reasonably be questioned, or that the judge has a personal bias or prejudice concerning a party.
The party seeking recusal must follow the procedural requirements set forth in 28 U.S.C. §§ 144 and 455. Section 144 requires a party to file a "timely and sufficient affidavit" alleging that the judge has a personal bias or prejudice against the party or in favor of an

- The document was marked as releasable only to the Five Eyes intelligence alliance. - Nauta texted Trump Employee 2 about the

It appears Judge Cannon has been assigned the case. Will the Government seek to recuse her? If it does and is successful, case will likely be transferred to Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks who is also in WPB. Trump unsucessfully tried to recuse him before.
Here is Judge Middlebrooks' order denying Trump's motion to disqualify last year. If Judge Cannon is removed from case, likely would go to Judge Middlebrooks who also sits in WPB division of Southern District.
