My shift used to end around 1 AM and I had my dads Bajaj Chetak to commute . But that week since the scooter broke down , I had to make alternate arrangement to reach home . I didn’t like taking hotel cab as I didn’t like going home immediately after shift .
1st night : I got hold of a call center cab to drop me home for rs 10 .
2nd night : I could not get a cab even after waiting for it for an hour . Finally I flagged down an out of service DTC bus .

After closing for day and will pick up passenger to make quick buck . Although it’s not normal this late but I was glad to have something . As I boarded the bus , there were 2 passenger already in the bus . There was driver and his teen helper ( I am assuming ) in front
And a lady and another teen in the passenger sheet .

So I told him the way to Pilanji colony and got down at ring road market at Sarojini from where I walked home .

3rd night : As luck would have it , I again got a free ride on the same bus with same passenger . This time the driver asked me the way to Bhogal .
4th night : My shift ended early at 9 PM so I was sure I will not get the bus . But to my surprise I saw the bus & flagged it

“ 30 rs “ . The driver demanded .
“ Bhaiya 10 Bante hai . Infact the other driver who dropped me in the same bus yesterday and day before didn’t charge a single rupee”

The driver was pissed “ Salle jhoothe, this bus was pounded at RK Puram police station for last 3 days . A family of 4 ( father , mother , 2 teen kids ) were crushed to death by drunk driver and helper of this bus . They ran away . I have taken the bus out for the first

You must have guessed by now . I was dropped home by the dead family on there way to kill their murderers in lieu of telling them the way .
