Rohan and Yamini met on twitter and it took them just under a year to move from DM to marriage . Both wanted to take more time before tying the knot but Yamini did not want to wait any longer to have kids . Yes , I find it as weird as you do but my mum has made this rule and I do not have the liberty to discuss it with her . I do not know if rule has been there since I was born or after certain years, but I do not have a single photograph of my birthday . Sure , we do have photographs of celebrations a day before or day after , but never on the actual day .

As an HR professional , it is surprising to me that even seasoned professionals do not really know how to write a good ,solid resume . Sharing my 2 cents. Its no rocket science but somehow many dont pay attention to even basic of resume writing 1) Format : Please don't write essays on blank word document . That combined with bad formatting is a disaster . There are plenty of very aesthetically pleasing format freely available on internet . Leverage and adapt those. Presentation matters.

I have been doing HR consulting for 17 years and it’s surprising that the things that establish your credibility at workplace require no skills and minimal effort , yet so many of this generation ignore it -

1) Be in time for calls/meeting - How difficult it is ? And if you are late once in a while , apologize . CEOs of biggest companies when late for meeting begin with apology .
2) Stick to deadlines - If you commit to a deadline , stick to it . Regardless if it’s to a junior , peer or supervisor . Work deadlines are not Goa plans
