A convention should be the place for a party to espouse its highest ideals. The #GOPConvention painted a dark picture and revealed a party fixated on a politics that is regressive and exclusionary. The future of the planet requires us to reject it outright (1/3)
Still, it brings me no joy to see important progressives solutions shut out from the Democratic platform. During the most important popular uprisings of our time, I refuse to believe we can’t do better...from real criminal justice reform, debt cancellation and health care (2/3)
We can’t keep “nibbling around the edges.” Justice doesn’t take a time out and we will never make progress if we are stuck choosing between neofascism & neoliberalism.
