More important, people with comorbidities are dying because of COVID and not diabetes or obesity (the most common comorbitdies). We know this because a lot more people have died this year. 
And the excess deaths are indeed cause by the virus. We know because states with very few COVID deaths don't really have excess deaths.
Bottom line: ~200,000+ people now dead would be alive but for this virus.
