Parents are getting old so I am getting some things changed/updated in my home for their safety and comfort. This will be a long thread on which I will keep adding things I buy/get fixed for them... 1/n

Safety handle bar in toilet and bathroom. Make sure u have one @ both sides of the bathroom walls. 24 inch vertical and a 12 inch one horizontal.

Motion sensor lights in the passage leading to kitchen or bathroom. Put it at a floor level so it lights up as they walk. They do get up multiple times for nature calls during the night.

It's the basics noways and most homes have it but if you don't please get antiskip tiles fitted in your bathroom and toilets. Mats don't do justice. Get the tiles fixed asap

If they're living alone or have any medical condition get these emergency panic alarm installed. Do inform neighbors of the same and make them hear the sound of me it helps in a sudden emergency when they're alone

If looking for keypad phone for ur parents then this is a good option Nokia 6310 as it has big fonts option + FM Radio + MP3 + torch + loud sound etc basic funtions. Priced @ 3.5K Other local brands phones for seniors have very bad UI + no after sales support + bad reviews.

Get under the sink water purifier installed. Saves space + no need to waste space on wall etc. The tap on top helps fill matka etc also if needed. Water comes in tap with pressure from tank and no electricity needed for that.
