When people talk about "violent antifa" and "violent BLM", know that the main medic who showed up to try and save right winger Jay Bishop's life was a Black woman who believes Black Lives Matter. Cops shoved her away, kicked her gear into the gutter, and watched him die.

His friend in white, who responds to a cop asking what happened with "I DON'T KNOW, FUCK YOU" before taking off is Chandler Pappas. I wondered if Pappas took off because he wasn't supposed to be at this protest - turns out I was right, it violates his parole.

Should I even bother telling you about Jay Bishop and how he repeatedly came to these protests armed with guns and bear mace, looking to fight? I don't know. Does it matter that he was a violent felon? I don't know.

There's a lot of misinformation happening. Mainly I want it known armed white men came to Portland to start fights with BLM... And when one of them got shot, it was a Black Lives Matter medic, a Black woman, that tried to save him, and it was the police who prevented her.

Just know that when Jay Bishop said this about the 3 people Jeremy Christian stabbed, he probably didn't think he would die the same way one day.

That's tragic, to me. This toxic white male violence begets toxic white male violence, and it escalates, so fast.

I lost a dear friend last year. He and this other guy, another friend, kept arguing about such petty things - a girlfriend, the apartment they lived in, politics.

They would get drunk and threaten each other back and forth. We tried to de-escalate. "Boys being boys".

Eventually, one murdered the other. Now one of my friends is in prison, and one of my friends is gone.

It didn't have to be like this.

These protests don't have to be like this. But they escalate, and frankly, even when the left backs down? We still get attacked. So what now.

I fucking hate it. We all lose to toxic masculinity and those who enable it.
