“We lit a fire to his social media campaign and the rest is of course history” wrote Ms. Ankhi Das, Head of Facebook India’s public policy team to her colleagues in an internal email. She was referring to Mr.Narendra Modi’s victory in the 2014 general elections: Shri @adhirrcinc

Ms. Ankhi Das was elated at his victory and the big role her company, Facebook, played in helping him win: Shri @adhirrcinc

The Congress party is not alleging this. This has been revealed by the reputed American newspaper Wall Street Journal, in its latest article titled ‘Facebook Executive Supported India’s Modi, Disparaged Opposition in Internal Messages’ on August 30, 2020: Shri @adhirrcinc

Third such investigative article that exposes Facebook, WhatsApp nexus with BJP. It reveals how despite questions raised by other employees in Facebook India & company’s claims of neutrality, Ms. Das & her leadership team were arrogant & blatant in their biases: Shri @adhirrcinc

The article states how Ms. Das boasted that she has successfully lobbied with the BJP to include Facebook’s priorities in their election manifesto and ‘now they just need to go and win the elections’: Shri @adhirrcinc

She even circulated internal predictions of a BJP victory which she claimed she had obtained from a ‘senior leader and close friend in the BJP’: Shri @adhirrcinc

Facebook & WhatsApp’s role in subverting India’s democracy is now unquestionable and beyond doubt. Their complicity in propagating hate speech and fake news to favour the BJP in elections is confirmed: Shri @adhirrcinc

What makes it worse is that Facebook’s global leadership team was well aware of the biases and partisanship of their India leadership team but were willing participants, as the latest Wall Street Journal article reveals: Shri @adhirrcinc

India is a sovereign republic and simply cannot tolerate interference in its domestic affairs by anyone, let alone a foreign company in pursuit of profits: Shri @adhirrcinc

These three articles now have clearly established the documentary evidence of Facebook’s interference and assault on India’s electoral democracy: Shri @pravchak

The article cites various quotes by Ms Ankhi Das. In these internal emails, Ms Das establishes 3 things- a clear preference for BJP, apparent negative bias for Congress and most importantly allowing these biases to interfere and dictate her professional judgements: Shri @pravchak

In an internal message quoted in article, Ms Das acknowledges to her employees that she is biased, she reveals her bias but doesn't feel sorry about it. This is in response to a question asked by internal Facebook employees who seem alarmed at her blatant bias: Shri @pravchak

Congress Party has written two letters to Facebook Chairman Mark Zuckerberg asking him for an inquiry into India operations based on first two articles. Now, based on this article, we wonder if Facebook HQ is impartial themselves: Shri @pravchak

This proximity almost goes back 10 years. It was not just in 2019, that Facebook India seems to have shown their biases and interference. They have also done this in 2014. It did not stop there, they also intervened and interfered in 2012 Gujarat elections: Shri @pravchak
