ಪೇಜಾವರ ಶ್ರೀಗಳು ತೀರಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ನಾನು ಬರೆದ ಲೇಖನ.

ಬಹುಶಃ ಒಂದು ಏಳು ದಶಕಗಳ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಮಾತು. ಆಗ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಚಿಕ್ಕವರು. ಊರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತಹ ಹಬ್ಬ ಇರದಿದ್ದರೂ ಊರಿನಿಂದ ತುಸು ದೂರ ನದಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಇರುವ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರ ಅಶ್ವತ್ಥನಾರಾಯಣ ಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂಭ್ರಮದ ವಾತಾವರಣ ಇತ್ತು. ನದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಈ ಸಡಗರದ

ವಾತಾವರಣ ಕುತೂಹಲದಿಂದ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
ಆಗ ಬ್ಯಾನರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಅಕ್ಷರ ಓದಿದಾಗ ತಿಳಿಯಿತು. ಪೇಜಾವರ ಶ್ರೀಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಊರಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು. ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ಬಳಿ ಬಾ ನೋಡೋಣ ಎಂದಾಗ ಅದು ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರ ಸಮಾವೇಶ ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಿದ್ದರು. ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ನಾನ ಮುಗಿಸಿ ಮನೆ ದಾರಿ ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ದಾರಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ

ಜಿಲೇಬಿ ತುಂಬಿದ ಬುಟ್ಟಿ ಹೊತ್ತು ಒಬ್ಬ ಬಂದ. ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡೊಡನೇ,"ಅಯ್ಯೋ ಶೂದ್ರ, ಮಡಿ ಮಡಿ", ಎಂದು ಬುಟ್ಟಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬಿಸಾಡಿ ಗೊಣಗುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದನಂತೆ. ರಸ್ತೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವ ಜಿಲೇಬಿ ಹೆಕ್ಕಿ ತೆಗೆದು ತಿಂದು ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದರಂತೆ. ನಾನು ಕೆಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಆ ಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಮುಂಚಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಡಿ ಮೈಲಿಗೆ ಎಂದು

ಮೊದಲನೆಯದಾಗಿ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಶ್ರೀಗಳಷ್ಟು ಜಾತೀಯತೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗು ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಪಂಕ್ತಿಬೇಧದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅವರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ. ವಿಶ್ವಮಾನವ ಎಂದು ಪಟ್ಟ ನೀಡುವುದು ತಪ್ಪು. ವಿಶ್ವಮಾನವ ಎಂದೂ ವಿಷ ಕಕ್ಕುವ ಮಾನವ ಆಗಲಾರ‌‌. ಈಗಲೂ ಉಡುಪಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಮಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಷರ್ಟು ತೆಗೆಸುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಂಕ್ತಿಭೇದ

ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಯಾವ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಯನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ನೋಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರ ಓಲೈಕೆ ಮಾಡದೇ ಸಮಾನತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳ ಸಮಾನ ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಉಡುಪಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಬಹುಶಃ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಶ್ರೀಗಳ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಅಷ್ಟಿರಬಹುದು.

ಇನ್ನು ಪದ್ಮ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತು. ಪದ್ಮ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಎಂದೂ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಅಲ್ಲ.

ಪದ್ಮ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕಮಿಟಿ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆ ಕಮಿಟಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ, ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು, ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯದ ಸೆಕ್ರೆಟರಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಸುಪರ್ದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಪದ್ಮ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಕಂಗನಾ ರಾಣಾವತ್ ಗೆ ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ಇದೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾತು ಕೇಳಿಬರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವಳ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ!

ಭಾಷೆ ಒಂದು ದೇಶ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಜನರನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.‌ ಭಾಷಾಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಭಾಷೆಯ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಯಾವುದೇ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ತುಂಬಾ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದನ್ನೇ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಮತಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ರಾಜಕೀಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂಡವಾಳ‌ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.‌

ಅಂತಹ ವಿಷಯ 'ಮೇಕೆದಾಟು'

ಪರಿಸರ ತಜ್ಞರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಸರ ಪ್ರೇಮಿಗಳು ಸದಾ ಈ ಆಣೆಕಟ್ಟು ಕಟ್ಟುವುದರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಧ್ವನಿ ಎತ್ತುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಭಾರತದ ಯಾವ ಆಣೆಕಟ್ಟುಗಳೂ ನೀರಿನ ಸರಬರಾಜು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಗೆ ಏನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಶ್ವಾಸನೆ ಕಟ್ಟುವ ಮುನ್ನ ನೀಡಿದರೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ನಂತರ ಪರಿಸರಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಪರೀತ ಹಾನಿ, ಬಂಡವಾಳಶಾಹಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಪೂರೈಕೆ, ಹಾಗೂ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ

ಇವು ಎಗ್ಗಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ನಾನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಳಿ ನದಿ ಒಂದು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛವಾದ ನದಿ. ಚಿಕ್ಕಂದಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಬೆನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ಉಳವಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾದಯಾತ್ರೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಮೊಣಕಾಲು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ಕಾಳಿನದಿ ದಾಟಿ ಶಿವಪುರ ತಲುಪಿ ಉಳವಿ ಮುಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿದ್ದರಂತೆ! ಹೀಗೆ ದಾಟುವಾಗ ನದಿ ನೀರು ಎಷ್ಟು

You have also mocked specially abled doctors who are serving humanity.

I scored 92% in my 12th and had 1494 rank in CET and I got through quota.

I have been treating Covid-19 patients free of cost through online and tele consultations.

And I have their thanks note on their successful recovery!

BTW you should know why anyone had to be stand up comic.

Here is a story of my Father,who spent almost half of his life fighting against casteism

I am sharing one major story which happened with him & the story which haunted us for many years and now I can say a success story!

My Dad after finishing his degree (B.Sc and B.Ed) in late 60s joined as high school master in Itagi and in Ghataprabha ( both in Belagavi district and were near his hometown)
