@ylorph I've just observed what kind of homework undergraduate and graduate students are given in intensive college programs. Thousands of hours doing one kind of homework or the other. Maybe some token overlap, usually very little.

@ylorph I was a physics and math major in science and engineering schools (Case and Caltech). Hours and hours of problem sets.
My liberal arts friends had hours and hours of reading: articles and books. Many of them never were taught what a mathematical model was.
