Because some US lawmakers have started paying attention to this human rights disaster that’s at last being discussed in the UK, a federal law has finally been proposed to restrain unethical gender identity medical experiments on children.

thepostmillennial.com/lawmakers-push…
We have a crisis here with around 50 pediatric gender clinics, and a growing number of other sexual health clinics, who are sterilizing minors using drugs prescribed to chemically castrate sex offenders. There never has to be a surgery to destroy a child’s reproductive potential.
No one on the US left will help us with this at all. No one. We’ve talked all up and down, we’ve talked to left-leaning women all over the country shut down over this, we’ve cumulatively talked to a lot of people in government and civil society about our grave concerns. No help.
There are a few also left-leaning people who raise concerns about it, yet will only talk. They put up with being trashed and threatened by left-leaning politicians and activists, and they won’t take action to stop it because the only other people taking action are conservative.
These concerned gender critical people say they are very worried, but their actions are restricted to talk, and then joining the rest of the left in trashing and threatening anyone who will take action to stop it as ‘conservative’ and therefore bad.
It would be nice if more people would regard this as an emergency though, and do things to stop it. Or at least stop trashing people who are doing things to stop it.
We get shorthanded as the women who went to the Heritage Foundation, by people who don’t seem to have watched even the part of that panel where a WoLF board member read out the stories of parents too afraid to be seen in public.
The parent who set up that panel spent years trying to get anyone but The Heritage Foundation to share these stories, to get them heard. They weren’t a conservative, but only conservatives were willing to listen. We met those parents, and they were so despairing, so afraid.
They were glad that they had company there from women who shared more of their politics. They were glad that Kellie-Jay Keen, who was going by Posie Parker then, came to visit and stay to hear their stories at this event they’d worked so hard to set up.
That week, the Human Rights Campaign was on Capitol Hill to promote the US Equality Act, which will completely erase recognition of biological sex in the law. They had a panel, too. At ~19 minutes in, a father talks about the transition of a 4yo child.
We didn’t know that at the time, but we did see the HRC’s Sarah McBride in the hall, in a House Office Building, surrounded by these glad, proud parents, transitioning their children, and talking about it to the camera crew going down the hall with their group.
The contrast between the tormented, hiding parents, who asked us to speak for them at The Heritage Foundation, and the proud, celebrated parents, walking the halls of Congress with the Human Rights Campaign, could not have been more shocking.
So Posie Parker and Julia Long decided to go ask Sarah McBride, in a public building, on film, why the HRC doesn’t care about lesbians, or any young girls. It was glorious.

Then the trashing started. It was bad enough that gender activists wildly mischaracterized what happened. But some women who call themselves feminists eagerly repeated, or even embellished on, their lies.

Posie and Julia, who never even tried to lay a hand on McBride, were accused of ‘violence,’ of breaking into a private office, of, at base, making others look bad by asking the media director of the US’ largest LGBT charity questions about why they’re destroying women’s rights.
These on-side critics, who seemed largely motivated by class prejudice, BBC wokester sensibilities, and Labour loyalties, turned a week when we were seeing more media coverage of this issue than we ever remembered, into a slog. They never directly asked any of us what happened.
The parents of transitioning children, the ones who’d been afraid to be public, ended up apologizing *to us* for putting us in that situation. We needed no such apology, and it was offensive that they felt moved to have to make it, because they’re kind people.
We worked with conservatives to help get a Parents’ Gender Resource Guide out. It included such wrongthink as saying that there was nothing medically wrong with same-sex attracted or non stereotypical children.

The same people trashing us and Posie before, trashed the Guide, which was very humane and factual. It was more guilt by association, because people with traditional views of sex and family issues endorsed it. It was bad because of who liked it, not because of what it said.
‘Don’t you care about kids in conservative households,’ we were asked. Yes, yes obviously. That is why we worked with movement leaders that those families might listen to and respect. We don’t know what to do about reaching liberals in the same way, they won’t work with us.
When we worked with South Dakota Rep. Fred Deutsch, to try to get this wild medical experimentation on children banned somewhere in this country, the same people trashing us before were at it again. Claiming to care, but just worried about ‘strategy’ and ‘optics.’
Maybe we could try to help at least establish one, single, small state in this country where LGB and autistic kids wouldn’t be sterilized because they watched too many YouTube videos? Maybe that would be something everyone could get behind?

Everyone could not.
Maybe it will be different this time, though. Maybe some people will be sick enough of doing nothing, and losing every time, for the sake of woke snobbery and partisanship, and they will finally help. Or maybe they could at least stop throwing anvils.
This is an emergency. Please help. If you were silently hanging back before, if you were mad at us before, whatever. How many more Keira Bells do you want on your conscience? How many more times are you going to be gulled by people lying about sex?

We don’t know how this medical experimentation didn’t end with Jazz Jennings celebrating his own gonadectomy, but it didn’t. There’s no ‘someone else’ coming to the rescue, there’s just those of us who showed up. That’s what we’ve got.

Stand up and fight.
