Try not getting angry any more.
Sounds hard. Takes practice for sure. Here’s how you do it.
1. Realize people who make you mad do it on purpose to control you.
2. Realize many situations that make you mad are not in your control.

Do you get mad when days get shorter and it gets colder outside?
3. Realize many things that make you mad don’t matter.
The weirdest thing of all about the Journey of Not Being Mad is all the people that will fight you about it.
People tell me if I’m not mad I’m not paying attention.
People tell me not being mad is a privilege that comes from being a Straight White Cis Male.

Clearly they have not met many Straight White Cis Males. Many are very very angry.
People tell me it’s my civic responsibility to get mad.

They tell me it makes them mad when I don’t get mad.
It’s all okay. I don’t take it personally.
They can’t make me mad because I don’t want to be controlled.
I can’t control their feelings about my not-angriness.

Nor do I let them control me.
I don’t like being angry.
I find it unpleasant.
It gets in the way of me enjoying this minute, hour, day, and life.
It really doesn’t matter if people think “You should be mad” or “if you don’t get angry, it means you are/think/believe ____.”

It really doesn’t matter what other people think.
Maybe they are just looking for something to be mad at.
I’m really just not that in to being mad.
It wastes a lot of time and energy and it’s a marketing gimmick.

It’s an internal sign that you are getting cheated or swindled.
The other magic of not getting mad is I realize how much control I have.
I can move away from people and avoid situations.

I don’t have to stay here and listen to this guy and get mad.

I have control. I have power. I can move and adjust.
When people tell me they are mad, I can often see right away what they need to do.

Usually move, adjust, get new friends. End a relationship. Do something besides getting mad.

Which does nothing.
