1) @Casey was creatively burnt out.

He just filmed 2 ads for Nike & wanted something different.

So he decided to go rogue...without telling the client.

(a big no-no in the marketing world)

2) In his words:

“Consequences aside, if I could do anything in the world, what would it be?

Do I want to produce another regular advertisement?

No.

I would take this production budget and travel the world.”

3) At the last minute, he called Nike & said...

“I want to do something different here.” (But didn’t say what)

(Pause)

• Nike: “You just can’t screw me over here. Went on a limb to make this happen.”

Nike had no clue what Casey was up to.

4) Nervous, he took the $80k budget and travelled...till the money ran out.
