The author of a book promoted by NPR just happens to be a massive antisemite, the guy the presidential nominee met with about racial justice just happens to be a massive antisemite, etc etc etc. Antisemitism is a freebee in America, so no harm done, right?

This is yet another argument against cancel culture, btw. The only thing you *can't* get canceled for is antisemitism, so what do you think ppl will reach for when they want a safe harbor to let off some steam? You make one exception and that exception will get used and abused.
AJC has been outstanding, but it stands alone. I'm proud of it but it's the exception. Meanwhile, Schumer? Is that a joke?
There will be no consequences for your antisemitism and literally zero interest by the media *who are attending an antiracism event*. Pelosi endorsed and backed Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib and no one batted an eye. This isn't an accusation, it's an acknowledgement of reality.
Anyway, end of rant with this: NPR can get away with 'oops maybe we shouldn't, in retrospect, have boosted a Kristallnachtnik. Ah well.'
Btw addendum because I think it’s important to point out: I don’t want anybody involved ‘canceled’ or whatever. I often complain about the way pubs handle antisemitism but am just as often a paying subscriber to them. I don’t want them to disappear, I want them to get it right.
