2025 Cambodian–Thai Border Clash (Thread)

Well, it's a stone's throw away from Vietnam so it naturally draws the attention of many Vietnamese including me. Let's get to it.

"Guns" (Thread)

I did cover Vietnamese firearms in my Vietnam Defence Expo 2024 thread but I ended up glossing over many things. Here, in a separate thread, I shall dig deep into "made-in-Vietnam" guns.

Big thanks to Nguyễn Tăng Thế Thiên for sharing his materials. Image
1/STrL-7.62 (Negev).

Yes, many people have lost their head over the appearance of such a monstrosity. It's essentially a Negev chambered in 7.62x39mm and it can feed from either belts or magazines. Interestingly, the design of the carrying handle resembles that of PKM. Image
STrL-7.62 feeding from belts.

The belt lies inside a soft ammo pouch and the solid top of the pouch is welded to half of a AK magazine that goes into the magazine well. Men pull the belt from the pouch and insert it into the feed tray port.

Pouch capacity? Around 100 rounds. Image
