Aspirin is referred to as a “WONDER DRUG”, because different dose of aspirin will treat different ailment.

For example, VASOPRIN which is used in pain relief,heart attack and fever is just a low dose aspirin. Vasoprin is 75mg Aspirin.
• 500mg of Aspirin every 4-6hrs will treat rheumatoid arthritis.
• 75mg of aspirin daily can prevent stroke.

• The chewable non-enteric coated aspirin can be chewed immediately when experiencing symptoms of heart attack.
• 350mg of aspirin will treat moderate pain.

PRECAUTIONS

High dose of aspirin should not be taken by pregnant women as it can affect the fetus.
Breastfeeding mothers are not to use aspirin as it can cross through the breast milk to the baby.

Aspirin also lowers blood pressure, so if you are hypertensive, cautiously watch your Bp
Also, people with stomach ulcer are not to use aspirin, as it can worsen it.

Aspirin is not to be taken together with certain drugs like

Warfarin, digoxin, methotrexate, tumeric. This is not the complete list of all the drugs it should not be taken together with.

If you are to take aspirin concomitantly with another drug, talk to your healthcare provider about it.
