Ahmed as a citizen journalist and a strong advocate for #Eritrean prisoners of consciences is a frequent writer at @awate2 and archives disappeared Eritreans stories on his Facebook page - "Eritrea's Disappeared".

Ahmed started writing at @awate2 in 2003 while still living in Asmara, #Eritrea. In order to protect his identity, the Awate Team gave him the name “Events Monitor”.
Between 2003-2005, he wrote numerous articles under this name, and his earlier posts are now re-published on his blog ahmed-raji.blogspot.com/?m=1
Ahmed manages the “Eritrea's Disappeared” page on Facebook that mainly Focuses on highlighting the issue of detention, forced disappearance and imprisonment in Eritrea.

Recently, for #InternationalDayOfTheDisappeared Ahmed prepared a chilling 51-page compilation of political prisoners, prisoners of consciousness, and other forcibly disappeared #Eritrean citizens.
