The medium is the message - Marshall Mcluhan

If masks are our new medium, what is the message? Image
Well, as @denisrancourt points out in this video: (15 minutes in)
We like to think that our beliefs motivate our actions but our actions can also dictate what we believe.
Consider this quote in the context of masks. The content of the program - the covid narrative - was incidental. It had an effect of course, but the effect was waning - along with the death count. You could measure the story's effect on people by counting the masks around you. Image
Before our town's mandate, "compliance" was low. Now, everyone that came to my garage sale yesterday wore one. One woman asked to use my washroom but worried I may not be comfortable because of covid. I said I don't care about that. She waved her hand and said, ugh.. me neither.
So there it is. We become what we behold. The medium of masks are the message. For now, they serve to indicate and separate, in a binary way, the believers from the non-believers. It is binary, there is no space for questioning or doubting. Image
In the long run, what message will masks have? We have been told that masks are here to stay. It's the new normal - at least until the new, NEW normal comes along: the vaccine.

Have we forgotten that vaccines, as wonderful as they may be, are a product to be sold? Image
Masks are a clever primer for vaccination status.
We won't be able to simply claim a health condition. There will be no room for fence sitters. Image
Mcluhan believed that each new medium is an extension of ourselves. In this sense, I suppose masks are an extension of our fears. We fear not fitting in almost as much as death. Relying on the group helped us to survive as a species. Image
The narrative is over. You can see it when people sanatize and mask up before dining out. If people truly believed in a deadly pandemic that threatens us all, they wouldn't be going out for dinner.

Us nonconformist troublemakers #SayNoToMasks and yes to living. Image

I did not abandon you.
You abandoned me.

A venting thread of what I would like to say to all of my now estranged/strained friendships. 1/
I love you. I tell myself to forgive because you don’t know what you do. You don’t know:
That my husband's choice to get vaccinated was not a choice.
Not a choice. Not a real, free choice. 2/
A decicion made under the looming threat of violence is not a choice.

It is fight or flight.

Do not tell me that when faced with not being able to provide food and shelter for his family, my husband had a choice. 3/

Sadly, vindication for @denisrancourt and @RosemaryFreiTO who theorized this was happening last summer.

This 👇 is the sick reason for Ontario's extreme, neverending lockdowns.
Here is a link to Denis' video (35 minute mark) and paper discussing the issue.
Paper: archive.ph/PXhsg
Video: odysee.com/@lestu-dio:d/c…
This criminal mismanagement also covered by @RosemaryFreiTO early on.

Asset sharing, Covid and AI: a thread.

Time to wake up, Canada. You're sleepwalking your way into a nightmare. 1/
Last spring, I was sewing masks like a mad woman - first in town to wear them. I cleaned my groceries and complained that schools should be closed.

My mom dragged me, kicking and screaming towards skepticism. She had a lot of help, from @_whitneywebb 2/

New pinned thread - Bad news for people who love bad news.
1/
Hospital occupancy in #Ontario has been capped/underutilized during the pandemic.
2/ Cause of death procedures have been inverted.

Chronic conditions now entered into contributory factors on MCOD and Covid assumed to have caused or contributed to death now = COD.

Ryan Harper, VP of the teacher's bargaining unit, along with the president of OSSTF wrote this letter, lobbying Dr Loh to move schools to virtual learning.

Unfortunately, they were successful.

Let's explore how/why this happened.
1/
OMERS (Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement Systems) is the pension plan for most OSSTF and ETFO members of DECE/ESP/PSP locals.
2/
OMERS just happens to own a little company called lifelabs.
