is TTC's conduct in direct contradiction of their stated aims wrt enforcing guideline? no doubt

like, wasn't the idea behind guideline to unify players as a stepping stone to pro competition (or the friggin olympics, or whatever)? but TTC does & will not do anything to foster a competitive scene, the players can only do so much on their own & the licensees can't justify (>)

…doing anything themselves because it won't pay off in the short-term & will inevitably be killed in the long-term because they don't own the game & can't really profit from it peripherally

2021's going to have PPT2, Effect Connected & 99 plus Primetime & mobile, and ofc…

…Tetrio, Jstris, and whatever else is still kicking around and/or shows up, it's kinda silly

again, not saying the players shouldn't play precisely what they want to play, but the guideline's done absolutely nothing to unify ppl but has killed potentially cool games

new players don't need to be protected from clunky-ass games the way they once did and novice players aren't going to care about or even perceive the kinds of system adjustments that could & would make serious player happy, so drop the pretense & ease up on enforcing guideline

(btw Primetime & N3twork's mobile gameare all part of the same app, that slipped my mind bc hell if I want to play on mobile... this rant is partially me just acknowledging that if I start a vs. pzl tracker I have to stay on top of all these games and man what a drag)

ofc any & every Tetris game or event, even beyond guideline to stuff like CTWC, is only maintained so that TTC can continue selling licensed non-game crap because that's where the money is

that & every game with genuine payouts is quasi-gambling, they don't gaf about pro play
