So... everything looks to be on track for an eventful 24-48 hours of weather, starting this afternoon.

A question we've seen a lot of is, "When will the east winds hit?" The answer is complicated. (1/3)...
It looks like moderate east to northeast winds will begin to spread across our area around midday, reaching the coast by late afternoon. Those winds probably won't be too strong. Gusts 20-30 mph, maybe. However, don't be fooled... (2/3)
Another, stronger surge of east wind should arrive a little before sunset. This is the surge we're worried about. For the #PDX metro area, gusts will increase overnight to 35-50 mph, with gusts 55-65 mph near the #ColumbiaGorge and across the West Hills. #pdxtst (3/3)
