#1 @CommonsJustice has launched inquiry into the future of #LegalAid in light of concerns raised during #COVID19. @RobertBuckland has a lot to answer for. COVID merely exposes the crisis he helped to create.
#2 #legalaid practitioners should contribute to this inquiry. @neill_bob needs to be hearing from you.
If @neill_bob is accepting written submissions (and he ought to be) all #legalaid practitioners should take part.

.@Jacob_Rees_Mogg proving that he’s as thick as treacle. The worrying thing is that this fella was on the cabinet, presumably, supporting an unlawful policy that he literally did not understand. Dear god!
1. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is a milestone document in the history of human rights. Drafted by representatives with different legal and cultural backgrounds from all regions of the world, it set out fundamental human rights to be universally protected.
2. UDHR states in Article 14 that “everyone has the right to seek and enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution”. The ‘Refugee Convention’ built on this with the establishment of a regime of international refugee protection, which was ratified by the UK in 1954.

I have been calling for the Government to do all it can to recover jobs, retrain workers and rebuild businesses as we continue the battle with COVID-19. 1/4
I welcome the Chancellor’s belated decision to heed Labour's call and U-turn on the furlough cliff edge that was looming for four million people at the end of October. 2/4
However, today was too little, too late from a Chancellor in denial about the economic fallout of his government’s inability to get a grip on Test, Trace and Isolate.

In todays announcement there was nothing here for the people who have already lost their jobs in East Hull. 3/4

URGENT: I’m hearing that there are a further 28 COVID symptomatic seaferarers onboard the Pride of Hull (being tested as we speak). This vessel is carrying circa 400 passengers. @POferries need to answer questions urgently. She is due to sail at 2030 for Rotterdam. @KellyTolhurst
