Perhaps it's fitting that those who elected a rogue as Prime Minister should end up getting a Rogue State to live in. But the UK's fundamental interests are served by the rules-based international order. Even more so as China, Russia, the US etc try their best to undermine it...
... & while Johnson might fancy himself Glorious Leader of Global Britain, mimicking the "might is right" piracy of Putin and ribaldry of Trump, he seems not to realise that Brexit Britain is a middle sized & ranking power more vulnerable to predation than able to pursue it...
... so Johnson's actions aren't just immoral. And they don't just threaten both stability in NI & future EU relations. Johnson is striking directly at the very international system the UK itself depends upon to protect its basic values & goals. Bluntly: he's a national threat.
