3:00pm and it feels like dusk.... Ash has been falling from the sky for 24 hours now. #OregonFires

update: taken at 4:15pm. Extremely creepy. Ash still falling. My parents are under level 1 evacuation preparation warning. If they get upgraded to Level 2 I'll go and help evacuate them. Just absolutely wild. Have never seen anything like this before.

5:30pm. Corvallis, Oregon. A comparison of what normal light should look like compared to what we're experiencing.

10:00pm. Holley, Oregon. This was taken from the Holley Elementary school parking lot. My uncle's house is about 1/2 mile from there. He is already evacuated. The fire is slowly encroaching on my hometown. Still somewhat south of it for now.

12:19am: time to try & sleep. Have my phone fully charged & a go bag packed on the off chance the situation rapidly changes overnight (i doubt i'll be in any danger, but best to be prepared)

As of 9am on 9/9/20 my AQI is 175 points above hazardous. Fun.....

Update 1:00pm 9/8/2020: all of my dealerships in Oregon have closed due to hazardous air quality. Sustained over 400 AQI for nearly 12 hours now.

Hazardous is feeling like an understatement

Overnight AQI readings in multiple locations in Oregon cleared 800+. Keep in mind "Hazardous" is anything 300+....

Update 9/9/20 4:22pm: Our AQI has been well over 400 for 12+ hours now. Not under evac orders yet. If I was, I'm not sure where I'd go. Only safe area is the east side of the state & getting there is difficult at best. Packing bags just in case & hunkering down for a long night.

11:30am 9/10/20: Ash is still lightly falling. Haven't seen the sun in a few days. Is 2020 over yet?
