A simple rule for early stage community builders:

No post should go unanswered. Ever.
Communities have something in common with marketplaces here.

If you can't find the Airbnb you want enough times, you'll stop using it.

If you post in a community and don't get an answer enough times, you'll leave.
Bonus:

Post every day for like a year.
Bonus:

Make friends with your members.
Caveat: don’t be fake
There's a similar negative impact if you check-in on a community, and there's nothing new to read.
If you can’t provide a decent answer, tag someone who can.
