1. It’s a CQL timeline but instead of a flute CQ is a symbiote that behaves largely the same way Venom does! Except it looks more smokey and wispy like in the show. It is also a sassy Bitch.
2. Ships will be largely following canon but otherwise gen. WWX is our Eddie Brock so he is the main character
3. So it mostly follows the events in CQL, except with several canon divergent bits. It’s kind of a fix it/nobody good dies AU.
also, CQ is not an alien, just a manifestation of a bunch of resentful spirits that coagulated together and gained sentience.
4. So, I started it last night - it’s turned out more horror than anything, because CQ gets gorey when it wrecks shop. I’m trying to put the comedy in there too bc I love writing that and Venom was very funny too. Living with a symbiote is a barrel of laughs right?
5. I was writing another Burial Mounds resentful energy thing. Also Venom just got out on Netflix, so I thought why not. Surprisingly I did not do it for the tentacle sex. It might happen later though.
7. The banter between Chenqing (our symbiote) and Wei Wuxian. Chenqing likes to sass him but also give him helpful life advice. It is also very protective of him.
8. This purple man is rude to us, Chenqing grumbles. Can we eat him?
9. Mostly WWX and Chenqing’s POV combined. It’s interesting because Chenqing notices things he doesn’t.
10. Probably wouldn’t make any sense. That said there will be some of LWJ’s later on. He gets to drive with CQ for a bit.
11. Buddy cop? Fish out of water? Uhh... gratuitous violence? Black comedy perhaps. Body horror.
12. Most excited to write LWJ teaming up with CQ even tho he doesn’t 100% approve but they gotta save their bf’s ass from bad guys. Then we get the Big Old Symbiote Kiss Transfer!
13. I've been rewatching Venom and relevant bits of the Untamed! Also using this to get my timeline straight:
Alternatively, Two Become One by the Spice Girls XD
15. Black animated tendrils of resentful energy. Themes: my boyfriend, my matchmaking symbiote, and me.
16. Pretty sure it will be a standalone unless some other epilogue type ideas pop up.
17. This, but with WWX covered in resentful energy.
18. WWX gets separated from Chenqing at one point. (But never fear, boyfriend to the rescue.)
There's a bigger reveal only my betas have seen, but I won't spoil it.
19. I don't write action sequences a lot and there's a fight scene!
20. My ADHD brain comes up with crazy ideas like this and I want people to witness the nutjob things it does. More than that, I like weaving things realistically into canon and this one is a good one for it I think.

will never be over how xue yang gives nie mingjue this "hey daddy ;)" look when nmj first looks at him and then lets his gaze linger all the way down nmj's entire body until roughly belt-height.
and yet, so few fics of this pairing on ao3. my creys
I mean, all his faces when he looks at NMJ (even when threatened with death) are just...
So my Spotify randomly decided to show me this chinese pop song... 🤣 the chorus is adorable - “You are you are my little apple”. It’s upbeat and #wangxian as hell
Why do a lot of translations/fanfics keep saying 'this one'? Never seen that in English subs/ translations in my life - is it something the ER translation does? What’s the chinese equivalent? I get 'this disciple' / ‘this gentleman’ 这名弟子/ 这位公子or another noun. I’m confused
1st time: "Why do these two keep staring at each other? Do they have a bromance? Why don't they tell each other?"
Now: "It's very hard to even find a really good friend, if you can find a 知己 zhiji (soulmate) like LWJ and WWX, does it matter if they are same gender?"
Insists it's canon and that they're madly in love. Pointed out the hand-touch scene at CR, the "er-ge, die together with me" scene at Guanyin Temple. "A-yao should just be good, don't do evil, elope with his Xichen and be happy"
I have a lot of emotions about my #CQL / #TheUntamed stan mother - a thread
First of all, she's a 60 something, chinese, conservative, boomer lady. Growing up, she was very anti-queer. She still doesn't know about me. I don't tell her. She's a lot like Madam Yu (and unfortunately I turned out somewhat like Jiang Cheng), so you can imagine my childhood.
I remember having an argument about whether being gay was inherent or a choice with her and the shouting match that ensued. She can tolerate them as a broad concept of "these are people who exist elsewhere" but in her own culture, community or family, that would be unacceptable.
