China - they who are currently removing the wombs of Muslim women, and committing genocide on an unimaginable scale - are in the running for a place on the United Nations Human Rights Council. 1/7 - Short Thread.
This is utterly sickening. The Chinese government are committing human rights abuses. Sterilisation. Rape. Forced marriage. Mass executions. The correction camps are concentration camps.

Britain is nowhere near vocal enough. 2/7
Disney also have questions to answer. The new Milan film was shot in the Xinjiang province - where the genocide is happening.
The films final credits also thank a government security agency in Xinjiang province.

Shame on you, Disney. 3/7
The Mulan film is already the target of a boycott after the Chinese-born lead-actress Liu Yifei made comments supporting Hong Kong's violent police force.

Disney remain silent. 4/7
I’m deeply concerned of how lame the British response has been. Sit back and watch us slam the Chinese on one hand, while pleading for business and voting them onto the UN Human Rights Council on the other. 5/7
Where are these men now? What has happened to the millions of missing Uighurs Muslims?

Britain has a duty to stand up for the human rights of the oppressed. Genocide is happening.

We cannot say we wasn’t warned. 6/7 Image
Whether it be China, Palestine, Yemen, or anywhere in the world where dictators maim and kill, Britain’s cowardly shambles of a government continues to look the other way.

Stick that in your land of hope and glory. 7/7

🧵 We need to point out how Israel & the illegal settlers have long targeted Palestinian schools, teachers & children.

I’m not a great thread writer, but let me show you what I mean, starting with this Israeli tear gas attack in Hebron in 2021.

1/23
The first day of school in Jerusalem and the Israeli occupation forces raid a secondary school for girls, detaining the principal and 2 teachers and summoning others for questioning.

2021.

2/23
Dozens of Palestinian children and teachers choke after Israeli occupation forces attacked their school, west of Jenin, Palestine.

2020.

A small thread: Since just 2017 the average outlay on utility bills for families and businesses has increased by a massive 62%

Have your wages increased by 62%?

(Chief executives of huge energy corps, rail, mail and water need not reply)

Since just 2017 the cost of gas has increased by a staggering 103%

Has Universal Credit doubled over the last 5 years? Has disability benefit increased by 103% over the last 5 years?

My friends, we are being conned. 2/5 #RescueBritain
Since just 2017 the cost of fuel has increased by 62.5%

More and more people can’t afford to put petrol in their vehicle, and for many their vehicle is their lifeline.

This cannot go on. 3/5

Here’s a few radical suggestions in a little thread.

A monthly prepayment meter allowance from the government, worth the households average monthly usage - for the next 12 months.

These are some of Britain’s poorest households and they need more help than most.

1/12
The £400 discount thing is money going directly from the government into the pockets of these huge corporations.

You won’t really notice any tangible difference when the bill arrives.

So what can the government do to make an actual difference?

2/12
I remember Theresa May promising she would get a grip on the big energy firms, but here we are, facing bills that we simply cannot afford to pay.

Remember furlough?

Let’s apply the same principle to anyone that cannot realistically afford to pay their bill.

A little thread for Mr Starmer.

Let’s start with the resignation letter. It was the weakest of the plotters by some distance.

Essentially, ‘Dear Jeremy, I’m quitting because everyone else is.’

Jeremy even gave him another chance.

How about going off script at the 2018 conference?

The speech you delivered wasn’t the speech you said you was going to deliver.

You didn’t care about Remain, you wanted to gift the 2019 election to Johnson. And you did.

#ApologiseKeirStarmer 2/12
You promised Corbyn-lite and delivered Blairism on steroids.

Your ten pledges were a con, and you are a thoroughly dishonest politician.

Absolutely nobody knows, or really cares what you stand for because you’re an establishment tool.

A thread for @RishiSunak

Evening, Mr Sunak.

The £200 *loan* thing has to be addressed.

I doubt your intern will show you this, but it still needs saying.

You expect US to take a £200 loan while we pay YOU up to £3,500 a year to heat your home?

How is that okay?

1/14
You see, Rishi, you just wrote off £4.3 billion worth of Covid fraud.

28 million households could’ve had that £4.3 billion towards their energy bills.

But you think instructing us to take out a £200 loan is the answer? Are you for real?

2/14
Your privilege doesn’t allow you to understand the difficulty in trying to balance keeping the house warm and feeding the family. Don’t pretend you understand.

How many of your (at least) 4 homes has a key meter, Chancellor?

Your London pad is worth £7 million.

This Christmas in Tory Britain 4.3 million children live in poverty.

That's nearly one third of all children, or 9 children in a class of 30.

49% of children living in lone-parent families are in poverty.

This was *before* the pandemic.

A little thread: 1/13
This Christmas in Tory Britain work does not provide a guaranteed route out of poverty.

75% of children growing up in poverty live in a household where at least one person works.

The cost of living crisis is biting harder than ever, Mr Johnson.

2/13
This Christmas in Tory Britain 485,000  children (in working households) have been pushed into poverty as a direct result of the government’s in-work benefit cuts.

The number of children growing up in poverty in working households has risen by 800,000 since 2010.
