"GODS" ARE DYING

Today, monotheistic religions are at the top of the religious "food chain" but ancient societies were majorly polytheistic. In other words , they had myths surrounding several gods and never really focused on one super god. Israel found itself within this...
... polytheistic milieus and much later during, and after its exile in Babylon, began creating its own ideology of the 'One True God'.

Over time, polytheistic cultures have been subject to severe "smearing" by monotheistic religions like Christianity and Islam.
To these religions, the polytheistic cultures of the ancient world were misguided, mistaken, utterly wrong. To their credit, polytheistic cultures never really laid a law on which Gods you had to worship. For instance, if you believed in Zeus, Apollo, Hera or Artemis...
...there were practices that accompanied your belief, but you didn’t have to really 'DO' anything. Zeus didn’t go forth and say “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife”, and even if he had, it would only be because he didn’t want competition!
Why do monotheistic religions proclaim that they have the monopoly on a so-called 'CREATOR'? It’s quite simple: It's how they get CONVERTS and BELIEVERS and it’s how they can be sure that their EVERY DOCTRINE IS ‘RIGHT’.
The Romans and Greeks didn't give a damn about which God was the 'RIGHT' God. Heck, the Romans often adopted Greek Gods because THEY LIKED THE IDEA OF THEM. They didn't care if you believed in Yahweh or Allah. Indeed, they had no problem with you practicing your religious...
faith provided you did not upset the civil order. Jews lived alongside the Romans - even tho' they often got cracked down on because they said they had the "One True God", everyone else was misguided & that their God would destroy them (you can see how that would be a problem!)
Today, the Greek and Roman Gods have become somewhat relegated to the background of religious consciousness. They're seen today as nothing more than reminders of another time - a time which the world has progressed beyond. Ironically, this is Good news for the monotheistic...
...religions because they can stand proudly and scream that their God is the 'One True God', and everyone else remains misguided. After all, the Roman, Greek, Egyptian, Mayan, Aztec Gods, etc have all been proven to be ‘false’.So surely Allah/Yahweh is the socalled 'One True God'!
But when you realize that the guys who promoted Yahweh have actually gone into extinction, and Yahweh couldn't preserve them, it's obvious that we’re simply waiting for Allah, Yahweh/Jehovah to die out the same way Zeus, Anubis, Thor and Mithras, etc all died out. It will happen.
Society will outgrow these myths, and they will similarly be relegated to interesting, amusing cultural footnotes.

GODS ARE DYING!
The beautiful thing is: You’re watching it happen, and I'm a herald of it.

@onayinka_segun "Has anyone provided proof of God's inexistence?"
It's not the responsibility of atheists to provide proof for the non-existence of any god. No one can prove universal/absolute non-existence.  The proof of existence must come from those who make the claims of any god's existence.
@onayinka_segun If Segun claims to hear from god, and I ask for proof, it's stupid to ask me to prove that nothing spoke to him. We're dealing with the confusion of probability and possibility.
@onayinka_segun Asking me to “prove” that nothing is speaking to Segun is an impossible request because there is no test that proves the existence of such a voice. As such, there's no way to prove the negative or the non-existence.  It is up to Segun to provide proof of this claim.
