The MAGAs wouldn’t give a shit if Trump literally spat COVID-laced droplets on them, for they are caught up in a cult of personality. They are drawn to his worst impulses
The true MAGAs prioritize Trump’s nationalism, his racism, his xenophobia, his greed and his misogyny over everything. Including their own health. They view those traits of his to be synonymous with winning.
Audio tapes of him revealing the peril he put this country in will not break the spell he has on his most fervent supporters. They are locked and loaded and armed and addicted to his brand of chaos. They will be voting in November
Stop expecting logic and reason from illogical and unreasonable people. They love what dude embodies. They have been willing to risk their lives to attend his rallies, bare-faced. They don’t give a fuck about your evidence.
Trump can be voted out of office, but his supporters cannot be voted out of their citizenship. The only way to reverse the kind of humanity that produces die-hard MAGAs, is to play a hand in raising better humans.
It will take the village, not a political party, to undo the ideological harm of this administration and an even stronger village to not settle for the norms of “decency”. 2020 opened a new world. Time to discard everything old that has failed us.
