Congrats to Victoria Azarenka for making it to the final. She played really well. I am sad that Serena lost but at least I don't have to see her lose another Final. On the bright side, not as upset as I thought I would be. :) #USOpen
I am content with the fact that she has 23 GS titles (Singles). Credit goes to Vika for cutting down on her errors and winning the match. On the plus side, Serena still leads the head to head. :)
The only thing which bothered me to see racists going after Serena and claiming she faked the medical timeout. There is one thing they don't know about her and it's that she doesn't do that.
No one can take away from the fact that Serena is the Greatest of all time. I am happy that there are many fine young women who are showing their mettle on the court.
I don't know who to root for in the Final. Osaka and Azarenka are great players and have wonderful personalities.

Shahbaz Sharif has not learned any lessons from his brother.
Sharing something I found online.
In August 1999, an earthquake struck Turkey. More than 18 thousand lives were lost while more than 50 thousand were wounded. Nawaz Sharif showed an interest in visiting Turkey then.
Three days later, Foreign Minister Sartaj Aziz contacted the Turkish authorities that Nawaz Sharif was willing to visit Ankara. Attempts were made to convince Mian Sahab that the Turkish leadership was currently engaged in relief operations and did not have time to host.
This was reported to the Secretary to the Prime Minister at the request of Sartaj Aziz. Nawaz Sharif agreed to a five-day adjournment, after which he arrived in Istanbul. He offered his condolences to the Turkish leadership and inspected the site. NS loved a kebab from Istanbul.
The PDM has made statements which have come back to haunt them.
They protested against inflation as an excuse to overthrow the govt but ended up taking it to record levels.
They used to complain about petrol bombs. Now they have given us quite a few recently.
There were complaints about how the dollar to rupee valuation. Within 9 months of their imposed govt, the dollar has gone up by a 100 rupees.
The PDM accused the PTI govt of fascism for prosecuting their leaders for embezzlement and other charges. Now they are going after the PTI on frivolous charges.
There have been big names in Journalism in the West who suffered the consequences of unsubstantiated news reports. [Thread]
Dan Rather was a national name in the US and anchored CBS Evening News for 24 years, as well as a stint as a correspondent on 60 Minutes II.
He came under heavy criticism due to the Killian documents controversy (2004), which were unsubstantiated allegations against George W. Bush's service in the Texas National Guard. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killian_d…
I remember how Cam prints of Hollywood movies flooded the market in the early 90s. We were able to watch the latest movies but the quality was terrible.
One of the movies I remember is "Jurassic Park", where members of the audience were laughing during the jello scene. Then there was "Death becomes her" where people in the audience were getting up to leave during the movie (which ruined the experience).
Pulse Global was in the market but the window between Theatrical releases and Home Video was quite lengthy. Eventually Pulse Global was unable to compete and pirated movies (albeit in better quality) were able to make a comeback.
