Shahbaz Sharif has not learned any lessons from his brother.

Sharing something I found online.
In August 1999, an earthquake struck Turkey. More than 18 thousand lives were lost while more than 50 thousand were wounded. Nawaz Sharif showed an interest in visiting Turkey then. Three days later, Foreign Minister Sartaj Aziz contacted the Turkish authorities that Nawaz Sharif was willing to visit Ankara. Attempts were made to convince Mian Sahab that the Turkish leadership was currently engaged in relief operations and did not have time to host.

The PDM has made statements which have come back to haunt them.

They protested against inflation as an excuse to overthrow the govt but ended up taking it to record levels.

They used to complain about petrol bombs. Now they have given us quite a few recently. There were complaints about how the dollar to rupee valuation. Within 9 months of their imposed govt, the dollar has gone up by a 100 rupees.

There have been big names in Journalism in the West who suffered the consequences of unsubstantiated news reports. [Thread] Dan Rather was a national name in the US and anchored CBS Evening News for 24 years, as well as a stint as a correspondent on 60 Minutes II.

I remember how Cam prints of Hollywood movies flooded the market in the early 90s. We were able to watch the latest movies but the quality was terrible. One of the movies I remember is "Jurassic Park", where members of the audience were laughing during the jello scene. Then there was "Death becomes her" where people in the audience were getting up to leave during the movie (which ruined the experience).

This is an interesting report which sheds a lot of light on the disinformation campaigns against Pakistan. I found some information on Habib Khan, who is one of the instigators of the sanction campaign. #AfghanLeaks [Thread] There must be a reason why he hates Pakistan so much. I dug around a bit more and I found out that his parents spent years of poverty and hardship in a refugee camp in Pakistan. So much hatred for a nation which gave refuge to his family. Image

How Afghanistan was lost to Taliban: A Story of Corruption
I read that one of the factors why the Taliban was able to takeover districts with ease is because of the massive corruption in Afg. People are so tired of it that they have turned to the Taliban for support. [Thread] “The government is weak because it really lost the connection with the people,” says Orzala Nemat, a veteran Kabul-based Afghan analyst.

Canadians are known to be nice and polite but Chris Alexander is a rare exception. I dug around and found some interesting information. [Thread] Not so long ago , the NSICOP came up with a report indicating foreign interference in Canada, where India was mentioned indirectly nsicop-cpsnr.ca/reports/rp-202…

Bollywood loves plaigarising movies and songs. I remember how they came up with three versions of "Sleeping with the enemy". They also had two terrible copies of "Macarena". There was this movie "Gupt" where nearly all of the songs were copies. The title track was a direct copy of a track by Deep Forest.

I had a look at @KhurramDehwar's thread on the disinformation related to the 71 war and would like to add some more to it. Days before Pakistan Resolution day, I noticed small networks retweeting the same content. Since the 23rd was coming up, I did not tweet about it as it would distract everyone.

Thread: On the 26th of August, a hashtag was reactivated to commemorate Akbar Bugti's death anniversary. I was given a tip that a lot of the users were not Baloch. So, I obtained the data for the entire data and made some interesting discoveries. There were around 1800+ participants in the trend, with an original tweet count of 10k+ tweets. This does not count the retweets, as that would be redundant.

I wonder why our neighbors are busy spreading fake news. Not a coincidence that GB shared something similar earlier. It's not a coincidence that someone is purposely trying to sow the seeds of chaos. They don't care about Pakistan. It's about causing as much destruction as possible.

I have been analysing trends for years and have seen a lot of interesting stuff. When it comes to certain hashtags, there is always the presence of our neighbors there. There are many hashtags where I discovered a heavy influx of our neighbors. How did I find out that they were from there? I am not lazy like some people to only depend on the location data. If people knew how to do their work, they would have known where they are from.

I think I need to go on a vacation next year where I leave all my devices at home. It's the weekend and I am excited about the work I will get to do. Work challenges are always exciting for me. It gives me the ability to learn more. Most of the time, I finish before the deadline. The only obstacles are hardware issues or power outages.

Congrats to Victoria Azarenka for making it to the final. She played really well. I am sad that Serena lost but at least I don't have to see her lose another Final. On the bright side, not as upset as I thought I would be. :) #USOpen I am content with the fact that she has 23 GS titles (Singles). Credit goes to Vika for cutting down on her errors and winning the match. On the plus side, Serena still leads the head to head. :)

Extremely horrifying to see people trying to blame the victim. If you have nothing good to say, please keep your "opinion" to yourself and get help. One should not make fun of other countries who have a poor track record of violence against women. We are also in the same list.

I got to meet the PM again after nearly a decade. Sadly no phones allowed inside but at least I got a pic of myself at Governor House. Image Ps, the PM did look more handsome and fit MashaAllah. He spoke to the point, made some witty comments and showed us why he is a great statesman. I understood he would take his time to visit Karachi as he didn't want to come empty handed. Glad he mentioned the same thing to us.

A few days ago I read a tweet about a young student who lost his life. It triggered an old memory from the time I was in the 5th grade.

There was this boy in another section was who quite popular, exceled in sports but did not do well academically. That was one reason why teachers did not like him and would always have something negative to say about him. It did not deter others who liked him a lot because he was quite good natured and mature for his age. I can't seem to remember his name.

I looked at the data for the past few days in the trends against Gen (Retd.) Asim Bajwa which fizzled out for some reason. The ones participating there switched to the original two trends (trial and trail). This is the data up to the 30th of August. The activity was a bit high but the original number of tweets was quite low. Retweets were the reason why there was some amplification. I saw the presence of a lot of PML-N and PTM members in the two trends, with some other "leftists".

Is there anyone here who knows how to create an index in Elasticsearch so I can make an index pattern later? #elasticsearch My ordeal is finally over. I spent hours trying to come up with a solution to my issue. Finally, I found out that it wouldn't work because of a bug :). Even though I spoke to their engineers, they had no idea why I was facing that issue.
