Since yesterday night I've been struggling with #earache. Called the #GP practice at 8:30am sharp. Queued as 39th caller. After 35 mins wait the operator told me that she can only book me for Tuesday evening 8pm (!) for a call from a dr from another practise! Quite appalling!
If this is happening right now in which despite the steady frightening daily rise of new cases, the political and media climate is set in "business as usual" mode I don't dare imagine what would happen when we will get the 1st peak (most likely in November) of the 2nd wave.
According to @BarnetCouncil as of the 7th of September the "R value in the UK between 0.9 – 1.1" barnet.gov.uk/sites/default/… I frankly don't believe it. I think it is higher tha that and organically spread throughout the country as many reports show.
That's UK's spike (Johns Hopkins University). Well it speaks for itself. coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/new-cases Going steadily up. Government sending as usual contradictory messages. Gathering with no more than 6 persons allowed, with plenty of exceptions. What about pubs?!

And another general lockdown seems inevitable for November or earlier as let's not forget, this virus spreads #exponentially. We got the same daily increase we had at the end of March (around 3K). Ok, less deaths and hospitalisations worldometers.info/coronavirus/co…
as younger people get infected at this stage. However, let's check the number of deaths and hospitalisations in 30 days time so to see what was the impact of this 2.919 new cases. Not a reassuring outlook though. It's going to be a long, long extended winter.
