Longtime Kremlin agent @MichaelRCaputo—just caught doctoring CDC reports for Trump at DHHS in a way that kills Americans—is now attacking my feed. He likely knows Proof of Corruption is a damning indictment of DHHS. I hope you'll RT this link to honor him: amazon.com/dp/1250272998?…
PS/ @MichaelRCaputo—again, quite seriously, a longtime Kremlin agent who is now doctoring CDC reports and thereby killing Americans during a pandemic, doing the bidding of his old-and-possibly-current boss—is now trolling this feed and blocking my readers. Wow. #ProofofCorruption
PS2/ I knew the Trump administration would ultimately grapple with Proof of Corruption—and I'm not surprised it's DHHS, given this is in significant part a book addressing a pandemic that DHHS mishandled—but why let @MichaelRCaputo attack me, when he's so obviously damaged goods?
PS3/ @MichaelRCaputo is supposed to be a Trumpist communications expert, so when he engages with the author of a book that's the most serious—fully sourced—critique of his boss in print, it's a communications error of unimaginable dimensions. These men are evil *and* incompetent.
PS4/ Guess which longtime Kremlin agent who now works for Trump at DHHS doctoring CDC reports and killing Americans appeared on pages 195, 196, 210, 215, and 432 of Proof of Collusion (2018)? Sounds like @MichaelRCaputo has wanted to take a shot at the Proof series a long time.
PS5/ I tweeted about DHHS flack @MichaelRCaputo doctoring CDC reports on Trump's behalf in a way that kills Americans at midnight—mentioning my book Proof of Corruption—and went to bed. I woke to an attack on me by Caputo. Proof of Corruption has landed inside the administration.
PS6/ The strange thing is that I didn't tag Caputo in my two tweets concerning him last night—and I obviously have just released a book no one at DHHS or in the Trump administration wants anyone to read—so the scope of this Team Trump *tantrum* is just... breath-taking, actually.
PS7/ I've now looked at so many Proof of Corruption shops that when I see this—from the POLITICO story revealing Putin/Trump stooge @MichaelRCaputo is doctoring CDC reports in a way that kills Americans—I see a framed photo of Proof of Corruption's cover on the wall next to him.
UPDATE/ Caputo is now *ranting* about me on his feed—total meltdown. I haven't seen a comms error this grave from a supposed expert in years. The reason the White House told @KellyannePolls—who followed me for 4 years—to unfollow me was to avoid attention for Proof of Corruption.
UPDATE2/ And in the midst of the White House trying to ensure it doesn't direct anyone to Proof of Corruption—because there is no better-sourced or more damning book about this White House in the U.S., and its two Proof-series predecessors were NYT bestsellers—Caputo does *this*.
UPDATE3/ And yet we can guess the deal here:

Caputo knows PROOF OF COLLUSION (2018) mentioned him—and became a NYT bestseller.

He knows PROOF OF CONSPIRACY (2019) mentioned him—and became a NYT bestseller.

Now PROOF OF CORRUPTION (2020) is out—and he sees where this is headed.
UPDATE4/ I didn't expect to focus so much on this today, but @MichaelRCaputo is *really* struggling to respond to the breaking news that he's doctoring CDC reports and killing Americans.

He knows me—we've argued before—and he knows the Proof series, as he's in it. He's flailing.
UPDATE5/ How do I know he's flailing? Right now @MichaelRCaputo isn't just ranting about me on his feed instead of responding to the news that he's doctoring CDC reports and killing Americans, he's blocking my followers and attacking their {checks notes} college pedigrees?

What?
UPDATE6/ @MichaelRCaputo is at the center of major national news today—as a Kremlin agent whose doctoring of CDC reports has killed Americans—and he's chosen to spend the day on Twitter attacking me, my new book Proof of Corruption, and blocking my readers? Again I ask... *what?*
UPDATE7/ Here's @MichaelRCaputo—again, and you can Google this, a longtime Kremlin agent who now works for Trump (so a "reverse Dimitri Simes")—falsely claiming COVID-19 is a *bioweapon* to defuse allegations against DHHS like those in Proof of Corruption:
UPDATE8/ What's so funny about this latest entry in Caputo's Twitter rant—besides the fact he's getting ratio'ed for it—is he *knows* we've interacted before. He threatened me repeatedly *here on Twitter*, in such a *creepy* way he later had to apologize. What's *wrong* with him?
UPDATE9/ When I was a federal criminal investigator working in D.C. in the 1990s, I associated this sort of conduct with a daytime drinker. But it's only *1PM* at DHHS—where, again, Caputo has been doctoring CDC reports and killing Americans—so surely he's on the clock right now?
UPDATE10/ Because of my new book Proof of Corruption, I now have the undivided attention of the man in the Trump administration—@MichaelRCaputo—responsible for doctoring CDC reports and killing Americans (after years spent working for Putin). Any questions you want me to ask him?
NOTE/ By far, my favorite Twitter response to the bizarre rant against me and Proof of Corruption now being published by former Putin flack @MichaelRCaputo—on the day we learned he's been doctoring CDC reports in a way that kills Americans—is, without question, this old classic:

(📢) NATSEC COMMUNITY NOTE: Musk is confessing to beginning to blame Ukraine for a war Putin started—thus working to aid Putin—at exactly the moment he began having clandestine business and geopolitical negotiations with Putin.

He should be arrested.

1/ I used to be a federal criminal investigator. I'm now a Musk biographer who recently published a book about Musk, PROOF OF DESTRUCTION. Not a single federal criminal investigator who has researched Musk as I have would doubt that he's coordinated aiding the Kremlin since 2022.
2/ The beginning of the Musk-Putin conspiracy came shortly after Musk made associates aware he wanted to expand Tesla factories to Russia, suggesting he'd received the same business-related entreaties from Kremlin agents Trump got in 2013, 2015, and 2016. cnn.com/2021/05/21/bus…

This is one of the most shameful days in US history.

A weak, corrupt, compromised Kremlinist US president recruited his Yarvinist VP to gang up on a heroic ally on live TV. It devolved into a shouting match. Why?

This report explains *exactly* why.

I mean it: that was one of the most distressing videos I’ve ever watched as an American.

Zelenskyy is the George Washington of Ukraine and one of the most heroic men alive. He sat through a shouted (televised) lecture by two of the _worst_ men alive.

A real-life *horror film*.
What happened today was a character litmus test.

If you watched those two weak-willed Kremlinists (Trump and Vance) and thought they were great, you’re a person of low moral character.

If it wasn’t *clear* to you who the hero in that room was—and how he was abused—shame on you.

I only went to Harvard Law and have three terminal graduate degrees, including a PhD, so I apologize if this is a question a drooling moron would ask, @yhbryankimiq, but is there a reason you do not list his accomplishments?

Is it because none are his—but those of his employees?
I know this is a difficult concept for Elongelicals, so let me use their favorite form of argument: anecdote.

I have 5 higher-ed degrees; I earned them all personally and in the shortest possible period of time.

Elon flamed out at three colleges and was *not* admitted to a PhD.
I’ve founded 4 startups: a consulting company and three media outlets, one a multimillion-dollar operation. I had no seed money for my startups but the little in my bank account.

Musk had money from his dad’s emerald mines and $300 million via Zip2—the idea for which wasn’t his.

As an Elon Musk biographer, I would peg his IQ as between 100 and 110. There’s zero evidence in his biography of anything higher.

And I want to repeat that now, lest you think it a typo.

There’s zero evidence, from his life history, of Musk having anything higher than a 110 IQ.
Stepped away from Twitter for a number of hours—on the basis of this not being a platform worth spending time on—and came back to find this tweet went viral because Nate Silver thinks Carlyle's 1800s theory of history, the Great Man Theory, is still relevant to historians in 2025
I understand the MAGAsphere runs on dudes who stayed at a Holiday Inn last night and are now expert astrophysicists, but another possibility is Musk's biographers know him better than fanboys do, and historians know more than pollsters about history.

I mean I'm just an American lawyer, so what do I know compared to a nepo baby whose money initially came from Zambian emerald mines, but under the United States Constitution and the thousands of Supreme Court decisions interpreting it for 250 years, free speech is *not* absolute
And I guess I would add to that, @ElonMusk, that if you don't know what I just said already, while you do not *have* to shut the f*** up under the First Amendment, you absolutely *should* shut the f*** up until you know what the f*** you're talking about, you *petulant man-child*
@elonmusk MAGAism is feelings over facts

All I ever hear Trump voters say is not what is true by law but what they think *should* be true, not actually how anything works but how they *wish* it would work

When you are poorly educated and know nothing, all you have is your Big Feelings

If you wonder why civil commitment statutes exist, the extremely dangerous derangement Musk is exhibiting publicly is why

He's now accused multiple federal agencies of being criminal operations, accused many federal officials of being criminals, and seems to believe he is POTUS
America is watching the mental collapse of the richest man on Earth in real time—and it's only a question of how many markets collapse, how many millions of people lose their jobs, and how many people die due to his actions before someone who cares about him tries to get him help
Clearly not one member of his family is willing to get off the gravy train to stand up to him and tell him that he needs to get off drugs, take a break from public life, and be hospitalized for a period of time

His employees know he is deranged but are obviously terrified of him
