Here's another enabler MSP who wants to reduce our freedoms. When @RadioClydeNews interviewed performers and producers concerned about the Hate Crime Bill @Ross_Greer claimed their reporting was inaccurate. When they pointed out they had taken legal advice he backed down.👇
2./ It was no longer inaccurate. It was now..."contextually misleading". Now his defence of the Bill is that earlier provisions from the 1980s that could have been equally misused never have been so why would these new wholesale extensions ever be misused? This begs a question.
3./ If they were never used why bother going to this effort to extend them? I'll tell you why. 30 years on the atmosphere is different and there's now an army of over-agitated, virtue-signalling culture war extremists gagging to misuse them. Look just up the road from Holyrood.
4./ If you'd told anyone 30 years ago that the greatest philosopher Scotland (and arguably Britain) ever produced, David Hume, who helped undermine the pretensions of our home grown religious Taliban, could be cancelled for a footnote, they'd think you were mad.
5./ Of course it would have been wonderful if Hume had been an opponent of slavery like his brilliant contemporary critic Dr Johnson (who just happened to be a Tory, and a Englishman who held much of Scotland in contempt). Big surprise: no one was perfect 250 years ago!
6. The people Hume fought against are now back: the moral warriors and hypocrites with closed minds. Their beards may not be as impressive as John Knox's but their misogyny and self-righteousness would give him a run for his money as they police every utterance for a pile-on.
7./ Like Greer they'll use sophistry to defend this Bill as a small tidying up exercise. But you have to ask yourself why would the SNP prioritise this Bill now over say hospitals or the case for Indy (depending on your political point of view) unless they were deadly serious?
8./ Who knew we'd have so many MSPs who see their job as trying to restrict the freedoms we pay them to defend? In the end, do you believe the Faculty of Advocates, Police Scotland, the Secular Society or wee Ross Greer? You don't need to be David Hume to answer that question.

1./ 🧵Labour's War on @elonmusk
What is hate speech? For Imran Ahmed from the Center for Countering Digital Hate it includes accounts on @X that warn of the dangers of so-called "gender affirming healthcare" for children. This matters due to his close links to the UK government
2./ Last year his group @CCDHate published a report accusing 5 accounts including brilliant gay rights activists @againstgrmrs of.... "LGBTQ+ hate". In fact they and the other accounts were merely calling out horrors like Drag Queens in schools and sterilising kids with blockers.
3./ Believe it or not @CCDHate complained an ad had been placed beside a post from @againstgrmrs in which the group said they stood with parents against predatory child abuse by groomers. How is gays standing against predatory child abuse hate speech? It gets worse.
1./ 🧵Two Spirit is a dodgy invention of the Trans Lobby. When I wrote about the trans lobby's origins in child abuse and women-hate a typically angry activist threw the notion of two spirit at me. Here's why two spirit is also steeped in misogyny & abuse.
1/of 20
2./ The official story of 'two spirit' is that the term came in a dream an attendee had at the Third Native American Gay Conference in Winnipeg in 1990. The truth is Native Americans were desperate for a newly made up term. The reason was child abuse.
3./ These conferences were originally the brainchild of a group of white gay men who were disciples of Harry Hay, a founder of the gay movement who was then cast out (thank god) for his support for paedophilia. Hay had been lurking around Indian events since the late '60s.
1./ What motivates the Trans Lobby?
Two images sum it all up. The first is of Robert Stoller the man who coined the term 'gender identity' and popularised the idea in the 1960s and 70s. Here he is in Papua New Guinea in 1979. Guess who took the photograph.👉
2./ The photographer was Gilbert Herdt who spent the 1970s studying the Sambia tribe who ritually abused young boys. Herdt went on to publicly defend child abuse in the 1990s. His work was then quoted approvingly by @petertatchell in his own defence of paedophilia in 1997.
3./ The other image that explains the trans lobby is this one. "Virginia" Prince set up FPE, the first trans organisation, in the 60s and has been credited with effectively founding the trans movement. He was a psychiatric patient of Robert Stoller's for 27 years.
1./The link between trans identification and sexual offences just keeps growing and now Northumbria Police officer Blake Payne-Humphries has made it blatantly clear. He's just been fired for sending a series of disgusting text message from this police station in 2022.
2./ In between rape fantasies and sending an image of his penis from the toilet at Southwick police station Payne-Humphries also discussed abusing under age girls. Then he said he wanted to raise a child to be transgender so he could abuse the child. Why does this matter?
3./ One of the prime motivations of many adults who encourage trans identification in children as well as those who medicate them with drugs to prevent them maturing is often no more than a variation on this evil man's fantasy as @WomenReadWomen revealed.
1./ Gay Tory Cowardice.
Under Theresa May, Tories championed the insanity of Gender Self-ID that allows any man to say he's a laydee. At a meeting of the @LGBTCons I discovered gay Tories still refuse to acknowlege the risks, contradictions and idiocy of this sort of approach.
2./ At their #CPC2024 meeting on London's nightlife the panel waxed lyrical about diversity and inclusion. So I asked if they cared so much about inclusion whether they would publicly defend the right of women to organise their own single sex social events. Guess what they said.
3./ Only one panellist deigned to back lesbians or gay men properly. @Madz_Grant from @Telegraph supported our right to have single sex events. @EmsFielder from freemarket @ASI had tho no opinion at all on the freedom to choose of lesbians or gay men. Even worse was to come. 👉
1./ 🧵Sheer Homophobia
The leader of Hezbollah is dead and every lesbian and gay man on the planet should cheer his death to the rafters (if there are any remaining at Hezbollah HQ). Last year Nasrallah called for violence against gay people. "And with no limits". 1. of/14
2./ If there is anything left of this rancid bigot it is probably only a lump of his throbbing, ineradicable hate. In fact Hassan Nasrallah loathed gays so much he even wanted to exterminate the word homosexual.
3./ Instead he urged his brethren to "keep using words like abnormality" and offered a helpful selection of derogatory slurs as alternatives. There is an irony it's worth pointing out though about previous coverage of Nasrallah's homophobia.👉
