Here's another enabler MSP who wants to reduce our freedoms. When @RadioClydeNews interviewed performers and producers concerned about the Hate Crime Bill @Ross_Greer claimed their reporting was inaccurate. When they pointed out they had taken legal advice he backed down.👇
2./ It was no longer inaccurate. It was now..."contextually misleading". Now his defence of the Bill is that earlier provisions from the 1980s that could have been equally misused never have been so why would these new wholesale extensions ever be misused? This begs a question.
3./ If they were never used why bother going to this effort to extend them? I'll tell you why. 30 years on the atmosphere is different and there's now an army of over-agitated, virtue-signalling culture war extremists gagging to misuse them. Look just up the road from Holyrood.
4./ If you'd told anyone 30 years ago that the greatest philosopher Scotland (and arguably Britain) ever produced, David Hume, who helped undermine the pretensions of our home grown religious Taliban, could be cancelled for a footnote, they'd think you were mad.
5./ Of course it would have been wonderful if Hume had been an opponent of slavery like his brilliant contemporary critic Dr Johnson (who just happened to be a Tory, and a Englishman who held much of Scotland in contempt). Big surprise: no one was perfect 250 years ago!
6. The people Hume fought against are now back: the moral warriors and hypocrites with closed minds. Their beards may not be as impressive as John Knox's but their misogyny and self-righteousness would give him a run for his money as they police every utterance for a pile-on.
7./ Like Greer they'll use sophistry to defend this Bill as a small tidying up exercise. But you have to ask yourself why would the SNP prioritise this Bill now over say hospitals or the case for Indy (depending on your political point of view) unless they were deadly serious?
8./ Who knew we'd have so many MSPs who see their job as trying to restrict the freedoms we pay them to defend? In the end, do you believe the Faculty of Advocates, Police Scotland, the Secular Society or wee Ross Greer? You don't need to be David Hume to answer that question.

1./ 🧵The BBC's Guilt.
Defenders of the BBC keep insisting it never promoted trans ideology. Yet here's more snippets from the BBC's own schools materials. In this clip primary school kids are told they can be born with a gender identity different from their body. 👇
2./ Telling children they might be born in the wrong body is profoundly confusing. When they experience puberty they may assume any discomfort they feel is due to this. Here's a woman who had her breasts removed cos she thinks she's male telling kids "everything fits now". 🤦‍♂️
3./ Here's a clip from the same BBC schools video in which the letters in LGBTQ+ are explained. Primary schools kids are told that Q can mean Queer or Questioning. Aren't most school kids likely to be ... "questioning" and therefore presume Q refers to them? 🤔👀

1./ 🧵The BBC Litmus Test. The reaction to claims of bias shows how low BBC cheerleaders have fallen. Morally. @arusbridger, @bbcnickrobinson, @JohnSimpsonNews, @davidyelland & @DAaronovitch accuse BBC opponents of exploiting the claims. Let me tell you why they're so wrong. 👉 Image

2./ The BBC didn't just twist news coverage to suit the political agenda of activists including its Pride group. As I pointed out yesterday it promoted trans ideology in schools where BBC educational materials argued there were 100+ gender identities.👇
3./ The tribal instinct to protect the BBC meant @RichardBentall ridiculed the notion, claiming @piersmorgan "was speaking bullshit". This Professor of Clinical Psychology ignored the fact I'd linked to a BBC schools video doing just that. Here's where things get really dark.👉

1./ 🧵What’s infuriating about the likes of @DAaronovitch, John Simpson and Rusbridger dismissing claims of BBC bias as politically inspired is the public complained about bias for years. This was @piersmorgan calling out BBC schools material that listed 100+ genders. In 2019!
2./ It was groups like @AllianceLGB and @Transgendertrd who successfully campaigned to get videos like this withdrawn. Unlike well-paid blowhards like @DAaronovitch or John Simpson the staff of these groups were all unpaid volunteers.
3./ No amount of Reith Lectures or Attenborough docs can make up for the fact the BBC actively gaslit a generation of children with toxic ideological garbage. And largely ignored the biggest medical scandal of our time. On our dime!

1./ 🧵The BBC's Trans Scandal.
The censoring of trans issues by LGBTQ+ activists at the BBC is symptomatic of a bigger failure by the mainstream media: groupthink. A perfect example is the influence of that most pompous of lard-arses ex-MP John Nicolson.
telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/11/0…
2./ Nicolson used his status as a former (decidedly second-rate) BBC journo to bully fellow politicians into following his line on the trans debate. So desperate was he to bring 'Trans Joy' to kids he spread bizarre conspiracy theories about his opponents. And lied. How he lied. Image
3./ As an MP Nicolson even tried to force the broadcasting regulator @Ofcom to sing from his creepily paranoid songsheet about @AllianceLGB the only gay group to oppose the child abuse of puberty blockers. Yet Nicolson's judgement was so obviously dodgy.

🧵1./ So who’s the guy the First Minister of Scotland is cuddling up to? A 2 minute search through the timeline of Sid Khan -“a remarkable Scot” 👀- reveals how dodgy his views are. What was Sid’s reaction on October 7th 2023 when young clubbers were blown apart and many raped? Image
2./ This “remarkable Scot” (sic) failed to express an iota of horror about parents being slaughtered in front of their kids or terrorists decapitating innocent civilians. His reflex response was to complain there was “wall to wall coverage” of the most deadly pogrom since WW2. Image
Image
3./ He also retweeted a post essentially justifying this pogrom as a means of terrifying Israelis who “must be made to understand that it is impossible to live in peace”. This remember was posted on the day of the massacre itself. Khan was glorying in Jewish fear. Image

🧵1./ Hypocritcal Greens
The co-chair of @lgbtiqa_greens asks what @AllianceLGB has done for LGB people. Highlighting the dangers of puberty blockers on its own means it's done more for LGB peeps than the whole LGBTQ+ lobby has since 2014. There's more tho and an ironic twist.👉 Image
2. For one thing @alliancelgb cherishes the distinct history and collective memories of LGB people. For example, to mark the late Queen's Jubilee it celebrated the transformation in the rights of homosexual men in the UK during Her Majesty's long reign.
3./ One reason @AllianceLGB was set up was because gay history was being rewritten to spin a false narrative that centred trans people. If you don't believe me listen to @FredSargeant who was at the Stonewall Riots and helped organise the first Pride.
