BREAKING: The South Dakota Attorney General reported hitting a deer Saturday night but had actually hit and killed a man whose body wasn’t discovered until the next morning, according to the Department of Public Safety. Story coming ASAP. Then will update with info from relatives

“My cousin got run over by the Attorney General,” Nick Nemec said about his relative Joe Boever.
“A deer doesn’t look like a human,” said Nick’s brother Victor.
Here's my brief story. I'm now working to update with info from the cousins.
One aspect of TeleSANE: A local provider can use a colposcope — a magnifying device to closely examine the vagina+cervix — w/ a video camera that transmits live footage of the internal exam to a remote nurse who has advanced training in sexual assault exams+evidence collection.
TeleSANE can even be helpful for rural hospitals that do have SANE nurses. These hospitals might not have enough SANEs for 24/7 coverage. Also, their nurses won't have as much experience as urban ones who see more sexual assault patients. TeleSANE provides “a second set of eyes."
I was curious if the proposed SD social studies standards will educate kids about Judaism+Jewish history/culture/people and I found kids will learn very little about any contemporary religion, and very little about Judaism at all.
The word "Judaism" is never mentioned in the proposed standards. The word "Jewish" appears once (written three different times). The word "Hebrews" / "ancient Hebrews" appears several times and is about ancient Judaism and how it differs from polytheism and Christianity.
The word "Jewish" in mentioned in relation to learning how "Jewish and Christian views of a deity and of human beings" impacted colonists. Hopefully this does not conflate the two religions into the idea of "Judeo-Christian values," a concept largely rejected by historians+Jews.
It was the second time she had to face and identify Teddy Guzman in court after a Pennington County jury couldn't unanimously decide last year whether he raped three young girls.
The girl cried when asked to identify Guzman in court. Her mother pointed at him but refused to look at him. The father, who used to be best friends with Guzman, said he wanted to kill him after his daughter said he raped her.

The girl was weepy throughout her testimony and began to cry and cover her face several times. Her parents' description of how she's changed was so sad.

I'm going through the videos on my own so it's going to be a while. Some things stand out from video one so far:
-Ravnsborg never said he searched the whole area that night. Prosecutors say his phone data shows this.

-He never said the sheriff searched the area. The prosecutors say the sheriff said he searched the area with a light. Maybe the AG forgot to mention this.

-After they find the body the next morning the sheriff tells the AG he will call DCI and the AG goes home to Pierre rather than wait to be interviewed on the scene. Why would the sheriff call DCI, not Highway Patrol?

➡️Ravnsborg's crimes and misdemeanors that caused the death of Joseph Boever on September 12, 2020
➡️Ravnsborg's statements+actions in reporting the crime and the resulting investigation.
I'm super interested in this second part, which is more about ethics and protocol than the law.
