Telehealth, specifically teleSANE, can help prevent this situation for rural survivors.

I was curious if the proposed SD social studies standards will educate kids about Judaism+Jewish history/culture/people and I found kids will learn very little about any contemporary religion, and very little about Judaism at all. The word "Judaism" is never mentioned in the proposed standards. The word "Jewish" appears once (written three different times). The word "Hebrews" / "ancient Hebrews" appears several times and is about ancient Judaism and how it differs from polytheism and Christianity.

It was the second time she had to face and identify Teddy Guzman in court after a Pennington County jury couldn't unanimously decide last year whether he raped three young girls.

1/x The girl cried when asked to identify Guzman in court. Her mother pointed at him but refused to look at him. The father, who used to be best friends with Guzman, said he wanted to kill him after his daughter said he raped her.

A bipartisan resolution is being introduced that would propose two Articles of Impeachment to remove AG Ravnsborg.

As @stephengroves noted, the National Guard was called out for a protest on the road to Mount Rushmore that was an act of civil disobedience but not violent until the Guard arrived. Only violence from protesters after Guard arrived was pushing back against+hitting shields. 1/x Protesters say this was self defense, not violence. They never did things like tackled police, throw things at cops, damage police cars. There were no guns. One shield was stolen and vandalized. 2/x

South Dakota staged the National Guard during BLM protests this summer. It deployed in Sioux Falls when a small group threw rocks at cops+stores, + then broke into the stores. A Custer County deputy shot a man on Sunday ... according to local TV reports w/ zero sources that seem to be copied from the Custer newspaper that also cites no source. No press release from the sheriff's office or DCI, your tax dollars at work. Waiting for ppl to call me back. To add/clarify: I called CCSO this morning and spoke with a dispatcher or deputy who said they didn’t have one so maybe they don’t know the sheriff has a release. I have messages and emails in the sheriff and DCI. There was no FB post either.

Trump hasn’t commented on the suicide bombing in a major U.S. city that damaged buildings + communication infrastructure. He’s commented when there’s damage by BLM protesters. This is a reason I don’t like the phrases “tough on crime” or “law and order,” they are subjective. He also likes to talk about crime when it’s committed by antifascists, Muslims and undocumented people.

Today I got the most antisemitic hate email and only threatening email of my career. The man included his name and I found an SPLC profile of him so I alerted RCPD in case he follows through on his threats to me and the Rapid City Journal newsroom.
