*Thread* Since John McDonnell is being discussed today, don't forget his take on Maxine Peake saying US police forces learned to lean on necks "from seminars with Israeli secret services". This led to Rebecca Long-Bailey's sacking from the front bench. John had another view. 1/4
Not antisemitic, oh no, not at all. Solidarity! Indeed, as Starmer decried "antisemitic conspiracy theories", John's view was "bring RLB back". Sign the petition! 2/4
There is nothing of any real substance that is "sensible" about McDonnell when it comes to antisemitism. At times, he's more tactically crafty than Corbyn, that is all. The truth is that he is intensely comfortable with people being filthy antisemites, to nick a Labour line. 3/4
The party's "new management" needs to deal with this.
Don't buy his lies.

What does today's Green Party want? Hatred and violence.
Try Chandi Chopra, a candidate in Newcastle. Her opening came when Hollie Mildenhall “stepped down as a candidate” in March 2026. Mildenhall had been convicted of criminal damage at a defence plant in the city. 1/10
Chopra is no improvement. She backs Mildenhall wholeheartedly. As Mildenhall went on trial, she wrote: “we hope to see a lot more of this at EACH and EVERY arms factory across the UK making money from genocide, war or conflict. F4CK them all to hell.” 2/10
The hatred is strong and burning. In this typically agitated video, she makes it clear that Israel and Palestine - namely, “the squatter entity of Israel” - is the only issue she really cares about in Newcastle politics. She brands serving councillors “war criminals”. 3/10
You’ve heard the solemn rhetoric. You’ve seen the earnest pledges and the concerned faces in Golders Green.
Now reality in Britain in recent days. First, creeps dressed like terrorists shouting for terrorists at a defence plant near Bristol this morning. “Intifada!” 1/11
Bristol appears to be a place where “intifada” won’t get you in trouble. There is no consistency in UK policing.
They added “smash the Zionist settler state!” and "resistance is justified!", just to be sure you know they back racist terrorists bent on genocide for the Jews. 2/11
It appears gatherings worthy of the KKK are becoming a norm outside Parliament on Wednesdays. Here are some of yesterday's toxic messages.
In a discussion of the policing of protests today at the London Assembly, Zoe Garbett of the Green Party sided squarely with the hate marchers. "There has been no violence", she asserted, as she gave a nod to the far left "Netpol" outfit.
Oh really? Let's take a look. 1/8
Garbett raises the protest of 18 January 2025, when there were scores of arrests after marchers defied police orders. Here they are. Not all that "peaceful", are they. 2/8
In fact, violence is what they love. A typical scene from that 18 January protest. "Intifada!" Racist terrorists. That's their cause. 3/8
Zionism was probably something of a mystery to many people on 6 October 2023. Two and a half years of hatred have been quite an education. So the ugly messages at the “Quds Day” protest in London yesterday should come into sharp relief.
Jews as corrupters is ancient poison. 1/8
Zionists range from committed leftists to the hard right. So wherever you are on the political spectrum, you probably have Zionist fellows. And we are talking about the vast majority of Jews when it comes to Zionism in general.
Do you want them to be "destroyed"? 2/8
Nefarious Jewish control is another ancient hatred theme. Swapping in "Zionism" changes nothing. We see you. 3/8
At the "Quds Day" protest in London today, the cover of the poison well was well and truly pulled back. Stare into the abyss to know the hatred.
Here, Nazim Ali of the self-styled "Islamic Human Rights Commission" leads "death to America and Israel!" chants in Urdu after... 1/9
...a salute to the "great martyr" Khamenei.
On to Abbas Edalat. Nuremberg, circa 1933? No, London 2026. “The Zionist regime is a cancerous tumour that has to be stopped.” “A gangster like tic.” “The totality of all that is evil in humanity.” Go regime! 2/9
Ghassan Kanafani of the PFLP terrorist group - infamous for hijackings and airport slaughter - is invoked by a "poet". A racist message follows. "Peace is the white man's word. Liberation is our word."
“Oh, the oppression!”, they wail, as the “Quds Day” march is banned. No. The regime’s servants have abused London for decades now. This is long overdue.
This photograph was taken in 1994! Walk back up the hatred trail to see how awful it has been. 1/8
These images are also from 1994. Starting out as they meant to carry on. Nothing was hidden.
"Death"? Oh yes. Their Hamas heroes were already suicide bombing Israeli civilians at the time. 2/8
“We are all Hezbollah!” “Blood and guns” for Lebanon. Massoud Shadjareh, founder of the “Quds Day” organisers, the self-styled “Islamic Human Rights Commission”, is draped in a Hezbollah flag. Tel Aviv is threatened. This was 2006.
