As a young woman on the streets of an Auckland few will admit exists or ever speak the realities of, and which I *very* seldom speak of, I was never safe, nor were the women around me. Not safe from the privileged, the underprivileged or the police.
While politics merges with gang mentality and division creates two uniquely toxic and dangerous camps spooning themselves around a petrified and too-silent, barely acknowledged middle, I know only to cling to core principles that create a space where we can still speak at all
2/
In a world where acceptance from either camp requires an immoral complicity with violence and dehumanisation of the 'other', there is little left to place hope or believe in other than the pipe dream of demanding the reinforcement of the most fundamental of human rights
3/
As the nakedness of a violence propagated in the highest to the lowest echelons of society, and its virus-like spread, moves from being inter-generationally swept under the carpet to being impossible to ignore, my respect remains only with those able to withstand its allure
4/
Even in my contempt for those who serve only to help the divisions grow and the fractures deepen, I will fight for EVERYONE'S rights - to exist, to speak, to protest, even when I secretly wish that they would all just shut the fuck up, evolve & learn to live and let live.

Viral social media project Panquake has graduated out of Test Net, morphing into Panquake 'Lite': hosting real people, posting real content, engaging in real interactions.
Follow the below thread for links to content and full details!

Talk Liberation announces the transition of its flagship product Panquake from test data to real data: the user-centric, people-powered social media project isn’t just the little engine that could… it’s now the little engine that did.
The social network registered the official Panquake account on its platform & sent the first ever ‘quake’ message: a touching tribute to a team member who had always believed in Panquake but was taken too soon to share in this moment of seeing it all come to fruition
I'M BACK for the 1st time in 20 months.. but only briefly. I resurrected this account so I could hand it to my team to run.
I'll explain why in the below thread & briefly recap the last ~15 years that led to this
There hasn't been a minute that I stopped working for you all
1/
I'll start with Panquake: it is ALIVE. Given we posted 62 campaign updates to date I assumed that was obvious but it seems Twitter's silencing of the widely followed @Panquake account really did break the communication lines with some supporters.
All the latest news & updates on PQ development progress, including the exciting announcement that we are now ready to show the world the look & feel of the PQ interface!
Follow the thread for more details:
You can see the full public delivery meeting video here: vimeo.com/683644353 featuring myself & @seanodiggity presenting @Panquake news and updates, as we do every single month!
Our crowdfunding campaign is at $172,400+ raised so far. Donate here: panquake.com/donate

You may have noticed the recent tweet by @JohnKiriakou endorsing PQ.
John is one of the first people in the world to see the PQ application working & described it as 'futuristic'.
It was huge for us to get to demo PQ for him in this way & we can't wait til you can see it too!
Ppl constantly ask me for my opinion on what is going on. When I give it, many assume I am coming from a fixed position. Actually, every single day I consume the following:
I also watch all the press conferences, be they pro or anti Western position
When you review such a spectrum of media content on a regular basis you see the way single events are skewed not just by one of two sides, but by every single outlet
They ALL have their own slants
2/?
I also watch both left & right wing podcasts & you tube shows. I follow & watch people I like and ideologically align with AND those who I don't, every single day
Living in Russia, I also have real world experience/perspective
As for @Panquake dev progress last month we revealed our interface had functioning elements in place. This month, the core structural components are basically complete
Our drag & drop panels move around & reset correctly & are now customizable - resizable, pop-outable & more
