Make it compulsory for all politicians, at all levels, and govt babus, to get treated in govt hospitals, if their bills are to be reimbursed. This should include, maternity, and most surgical procedures.
Likewise, make it compulsory for them to admit their children to govt school, colleges.

That'll ensure govt hospitals, school services improve faster.
It's only in India, it seems, lack of merit gets people seats in high end education, scholarship (!), admission in high end institutions, big pay jobs govts, promotions without performance, and pol office.
What's the cost of promoting incompetent to higher positions? Or, of giving seats in technical, medical, other professional courses, without due consideration to merit? How can scholarships be on religion, caste basis, without due merit criteria?
Why we have only one Sir MV, one sir Mirza Ismail, one APJ Kalam?

When will Supreme Court fix these fundamental flaws in education, government, judiciary? Politicians won't do it.

When I read comments of highly educated folks, including venture capitalists, angel investors, here on matters of education, I see how disconnected are they from the reality of those sections whose struggles start at a different level.
Similarly, all those blockchain for everything crusaders, cryptocurrency trumpet blowers, AI, ML, Big Data, 5G as panacea for everything, miss something very fundamental.

The world isn't made up of just a few million educated, jargon guzzling, hype creating, folks.
However well intentioned you may be, remember that there are smarter fraudsters fooling people around these hype jargon, building elaborate traps.

There's a lot that can be done with many tried, tested, stable technologies.

I don't remember anyone talking crackers pollution until 2000-02. It all started building up from 2004 onwards.

If I remember correctly, it was NGO CSE that started making big noise. Many interest groups colluded for their own agenda, they continued to chip the Hindu edifice.
Schools started dissuading wearing of bindi, bangles, and our traditional dresses. Exams began to be set around our festival dates, vacations cut short (we earlier had Dasara holidays upto Deepavali), shifted to Christmas week.

Hindu prayers, national anthem got booted out.
Waterless Holi, Crackerless Deepavali, Kiteless Sankranthi, ban on Kambala, Jallikattu, Dahi handi, Ganesh, Durga statue height limitation, Pooja pandal restrictions, immersion restrictions. Changing the religious atmosphere to commercial, filmy extravaganza, thru local goons...

Dear Hindus,
Here is a thread on Sivakasi crackers industry, CSIR-NEERI work.

Gist: Pls celebrate this Deepavali with Sivakasi crackers. They have reduced pollution, noise level from 30-60% this year. Use them for 30 min to 1 hr for 3 days Deepavali.

Wear mask if you want.
Sivakasi crackers industry employs 8 lakh persons, most of it is handmade. 80% workers are women from poor families. They all rely on Deepavali sale for generating 80% business.
This year, they had to cut production by 30%, due to pandemic. Many women must have lost jobs.

Thank Kejriwal, Gehlot, Naveen babu, Mamta, Sikkim CM, Uddhav, etc for the losses these women suffer.

That too after the industry worked to comply to court orders on green crackers.

Thank you for such a wonderful service. 💐 🙏🏼
Some #tips on #Smartphone theft issues. These days, newspapers have at least 2-3 such cases everyday of chain snatching, phone snatching, bag snatching.

Want to know about all three?
How to avoid losing a phone?
1. Don't hold phone loosely in your hand on road facing side while walking. Avoid using SM apps on road.
2. Walk on footpaths, not on roads. Use headphone, Bluetooth, keep phone in trouser side packet. 3. Don't use phone while driving. Park n use.

When I joined my first job as a Graduate Engineer Trainee, I did every possible task from lifting computer parts boxes, assembling them, testing them, working with certifying agency, then helping pack, and monitoring logistics, delivery.
In 45 days, I helped despatch various configuration of orders to 23+ cities across India. Never once did I complain this job isn't mine, we need somebody else to lift boxes, manage delivery consignments. It was an opportunity to learn more n more.
The reward, company gave me a salary hike in 2 months, gave an air ticket to fly from Chennai to Delhi. In early '90s it costed a lot. Air tickets weren't for trainees.
I got to handle customers from Rajasthan to North East in 4 years as CSE.
