Dear 🇨🇦 please understand when you don't vote you don't matter in the eyes of the government. Students if you want the govt to hear your frustrations with rising tuition costs, VOTE. If you're outraged over the state of LTC homes, VOTE. cbc.ca/news/canada/vo…
If support teachers, VOTE. If you support our healthcare workers, VOTE. If you're angry that women, LGBTQ2, indigenous people, minorities must still fight for basic rights in 2020, VOTE. If you're tired of gun related tragedies, VOTE.
If you're tired of working for living wages that barely make ends meet, VOTE. The chaos that is present in AB, ON and to our neighbors in the south can all be avoided by ONE SINGLE VOTE. Let me put it in simpler terms, would you feel comfortable placing your life in the hands of
any healthcare professional
that only understood 66% of the knowledge they received? I can only assume the answer is no,then why is it acceptable to allow 66% of voters to decided what is important for an entire country. People protested & fought for the right to vote, so VOTE.

Here's what I've learned while serving 2 decades of my life in the Canadian Armed Forces. It didn't take long to identify those who didn't work well with others, those people were very opinionated about what's broken (planes, ships, equipment, personnel etc) but never .. Image
.. offered any solutions to said problems. I was taught by my mentors (which includes my parents) that if something is wrong don't just simply say something is broken without offering any solutions, when you do that you are quite literally wasting everyone's time. I taught my.. Image
.. apprentices that identifying problems is easy but offering solutions is where you demonstrate to me and others that you want to be part of the team, which is exactly the type of people I enjoyed working with. I rarely raised my voice and always stressed the importance of .. Image

For those people who are outraged that they don't have access to news from Meta and Instagram. Do you know why they removed Canadian news stories from their platforms? They refuse to pay Canadian news outlets for their content/ receiving fair compensation for THEIR work.
The online news act it designed to protect Canadian news outlets. Fyi you still have access to news despite Pierre's conservatives rhetoric, all you need to do is go straight to the source. So much Conservative outrage simply because the govt refuses to succumb to Meta's threats.
Here's some interesting facts:
*Bill C-18 is modelled from a law in Australia
*Meta made threats that they would block AU news
*They left AU for a week, then they came back
*Since then more than $190 million has been paid to Australian news outlets for the use of their content.

Here's what Pierre Poilievre's Conservative Party is selling:
*They don't believe in climate change (Party delegates voted not to recognize climate crisis as real)
*They don't support Indigenous rights (They oppose UNDRIP)
*They don't support that the government must take action to close the unacceptable gap in pay between men and women (VOTE NO.12, 42nd parliament)
*They don't condemn Islamophobia and all forms of systemic racism and religious discrimination (voted against M-103)
*They don't truly support women's bodily autonomy rights as the party supports the use "conscience rights" for doctors and other health-care workers as a loophole to refuse to participate in, or refer their patients for abortion.

I'm sorry, but I have to ask, do people actually believe Pierre Poilievre's "common sense" or "bring it home" sound bites? It's beyond ridiculous to believe that "his" party somehow cares about struggling Canadians. There's only one reason why Pierre's conservatives want to..
.. "axe the tax" , spoiler it has absolutely nothing to do with protecting hard working Canadians pay cheques, it's more about protecting those record breaking profits from certain corporations that have been willfully price gouging you and your families over the last 2 years.
If they truly wanted to help struggling Canadians with the rising cost of living, why did they oppose the national $10/day child care program 🤔. Now ask yourself why they idly sat by while their provincial counterparts opposed having conditions attached before receiving.. Image

I apologize in advance as this may be a long tweet. Before you believe the narrative that Canada is broken. I served in the CAF for over decades of my life. I frequently left home for months on end and here's the thing while we were away from home, we didn't talk about politics..
.., we talked about our families, friends and all the things we'd do when we came back home. In many instances when people saw the Canadian flag on our uniforms it made them smile, they reminded us of how lucky we are to be Canadian. I know Canada isn't perfect but I truly..
.. feel many people take for granted everything that makes this beautiful nation a great place to call home. Every time I left home it gave me great comfort knowing that my family would be safe because I knew people like you would be kind to them and or help them should they ..

Anyone else notice how Pierre Poilievre remained silent for days when Roe v Wade was overturned and now he remains silent to denounce Jeremy Mackenzie, I'd like to remind Canadians that Pierre voted against condemning Islamophobia and does not support the UNDRIP. Coincidently...
...Pierre just happens to remain silent while a certain premier is suggesting "private innovation" as the answer to alleviate the strain on our healthcare system. I know he adamantly claims to be against "elites" and "gatekeepers" but here's the thing Pierre paid $300k to be..
..a candidate in the CPC leadership race, let's not forget he paid $50k to avoid a debate. Canadians don't be fooled Pierre's silence speaks volumes about where he stands. CPC members you can elect a better leader unless you're satisfied losing election after election that is.
