this tracks my intuition that if there's going to be a central utility of no code, it'll be either @airtable or @zapier.

puts an interesting strategic frame on airtable's decision to build native workflow automation into airtable.
one of them should buy @makerpad asap
i predict that @zapier will launch its own zapier-branded data store within 6 months.

just finished raising a pre-seed for me and @janerikasplund's new venture.

the last time i raised money was 2011-2013. a few things have changed that surprised me 👇
1/ no one uses @AngelList any more to raise. in 2011, you created a profile on angellist when you started to raise.

you could filter and sort investors to create a list of prospects. then you could find intros, reach out and set up meetings all through the platform.
today angellist seems to have shifted its focus to be a platform for investors to run syndicates.

nothing seems to have filled the void there and the process seems to run even more on warm intros than it did back in the day.

@chargebee abstracts away payment method (credit card, direct debit, invoicing) and payment terms into subscriptions.

it does revenue recognition for accrual accounting so no more insane spreadsheets from your accounting team that are impossible to understand.
chargebee runs on @stripe as the payment gateway.

stripe creates a virtual bank account for every u.s. based customer who pays via invoice and automatically marks invoices as paid when cash hits the account.

avoids a ton of manual, error-prone work.
